Well we've bought it now so there's no going back.
What a great car!!!
Still getting used to it and finding out what it can do and where things are.
Cheers

The update disk suggested by and bought on the Toyota site works flawlessly!
:D :D
Hi!
I've just joined the forum, and like you, I have a 2000 Lexus.
I want to update the mapping but I also get the error because I would appear to have a Toyota disc in my Lexus!!
My code on the disc box i think is the same as yours
08664-00921
86271-70V221
99001-01069
You mentioned last September that you recently got your updated disc.
Please could you let me know what the part number is?
(Is it someting like PZ485-T00EU-07 ?)
Also, as a matter of interest, could you look next time you have a few minutes to spare, and see if the ISLE OF MAN is on the map now?
Thank you very much for your time!
Kind regards
:)

Price seems a little high but not too bad. Check the 60k service has been completed including the spark plugs.
Make sure it is a genuine UK vehicle.
Check the rear hatch gas struts, they fail to raise the tailgate fully although to be fair they do that from new!
How good is that warranty? Will it pay Lexus dealer rates?
Thanks for that Colin
I will have a look at the service book and the struts in the morning when I look at it again
How do I know if it's a genuine UK model?
Not sure about the scale of the warranty but now that I know, I'll double check!
Thanks again

Hi
New to forum, and looking forward to reading the many assorted posts.
We are very close to buying a W reg (2000) from a local showroom, and from what we've seen of our 1st Lexus I think we are getting a really reasonable deal, but any comments would be welcome from the experts!
Like I put in the topic title
W reg (late 2000) SE with sat nav,
62K miles,
New tyres all round
Rear cargo immaculate (doesn't look like it's been used!)
Rear seats and carpet immaculate (again looks like new)
Front seats and carpet very slight wear
Body work great other than a tiny scrape about 5mm long and a couple of small stone chips
Small stone chip on passenger side windscreen
Full Lexus dealer service history
Asking £6k to include 12 months parts and labour warranty
Any thoughts and thanks in advance!
David
