  1. I understand completely what you say, but in the case of motorway driving you have to be very careful as a car undertaking you can take you out completely. My dad was almost smashed by an idiot undertaking .. as the fool was in his blind spot, but fortunately he swerved in time. Also undertaking is completely illegal and you would be done for it if caught.. always best to overtake as normal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Hi.. I just wondered if you could tell me what Lexus Connect does and if it's worth getting the premium navigation for that function ? Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good independent Toyota or Lexus for service/ cam belt in the Birmingham area? I know there used to be Cutlers in Aldridge but they went bust I think. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I always see lots of undertaking on dual carriageways these days and to a lesser degree on motorways. Just an observation. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. That's a good post. I'll keep that for when I upgrade my RX. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. There is no need to go sir. Why not carry on owning Lexus, as they are such fantastic cars. What about one of those old SC sports coupe or even a CT. or IS? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Well done in getting the right car. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I don't think the future is hybrids.. I think that full electric cars is the future , because if you look at people like Tesla, their cars can go a good 200 miles I believe ,before needing to be charged , so the days of the full electric equalling the range of petrol cars is virtually here already . I think Lexus will have to invest most money in building totally electric cars to keep up with Tesla and all the other companies that are bringing out electric cars. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I feel lucky and privileged when I drive or sit in my Lexus. Most people will never own one so I feel happy as Larry.. as for the shape, I think it's a case of Lexus having to move forward and stand out from the crowd to keep selling cars. They are already known as superb luxury cars with superb reliability.. so where from a corporate and commercial perspective can you go from there? Hence the radical looks. 10. Thank you Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Sounds like good advice.. amazon..ok.. what about Halfords? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Yes, I think you are doing the right thing.. I had my IS 200 for eight years and now my RX for four .. so far so good. No issues. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. A very full and fair review. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Yes it's a strange state of affairs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. The problem is finding a reliable independent who knows the cars. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Surely there has to be some merit in fitting a tracker to a new-ish vehicle because it must make them easier to locate? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Linas, I think the idea is that they don't know there is a tracker in it, so the car has a better chance of being recovered from the lock-up where they will no doubt store them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Hi , I can't say the ride in my RX 400h has ever been appalling as GSLV6 said.. I don't recognise that statement. It's always been the most comfortable ride I've ever had in a car. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Hi I wouldn't worry about the battery. I've been using mine for years without issue and I have a electric scooter hoist in the back of my RX as well and that takes power when I get the scooter in and out of the car. but I've never had a starting problem. I think the battery issue is somewhat over done. But anyway , you can jump start a hybrid , you just can't jumpstart someone else's car for them if they have a flat battery. And the 12 volt battery is in the engine bay on the right hand side , under the cover as you stand and look at the car. Have a good holiday and don't worry. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Hi.. just to correct someone.. I can't remember who said it.. but they said that the RX didn't have kick down.. I can assure them it does.. I used it today..;-)..its pretty well disguised due to the size of the engine, but all you have to do is blip the throttle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I can't say I agree with what you say about hybrids not been long distance cruisers.. my RX has served me marvellously well shooting up and down the motorway from the midlands to northern England and back numerous times in total comfort and doing 34 mph too.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Hi there, I'm here to defend the RX.. it moves like the proverbial clappers.. so with respect you might need to kick down or manually select the gear when overtaking. Enjoy your motoring. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Just to say that when you mention underwhelming exhilaration , I beg to say this is subjective , as most people who have never been in a sports car before would be enthralled by the power, I guess people who have been in sports cars often are the ones who would detect a slight difference in power delivery. 24. I must admit I couldn't hear anything unusual, but you know your car best. Hope you get it sorted. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Have you taken it to the dealer? What's the latest? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
