  1. Hi Over the past few months I have noticed my steering is feeling increasing 'looser'. I can certainly feel some play down there - for instance if I drive down the road and wobble the steering wheel, the car hardly moves on the road. Also when braking hard and holding the wheel firm with two hands the car will wonder side to side or into any dips or lines in the road. I had the near side steering arm/rod replaced as it was seized and WIM could not apply their settings when I visited. The mechanic that fitted the arm/rod (not at WIM) inspected the offside and said it was fine so I only replaced the seized side. Do you think I should just replace it anyway? Do you think if I replaced the other side steering arm/rod and went to WIM after it might cure the loose feeling? What other items could cause a feeling of play or looseness in the steering? Lower ball joints and wishbone arms have already been replaced both sides. Help and advise appreciated as usual :-) Bill
  2. Common issue. I to had to go fill up with a companion till I replaced the little spring
  3. I also have this creaking. I have replaced the lower ball joints and lower arm rear bushes as you have, the creak is still there. Can hear it pulling up to stop or manouvering or dry steering. Help would be great all?
  4. And if a blow torch doesn't work?
  5. Hi, What size rubber housing caps did you buy? And any chance of a fitted picture please?
  6. That video doesn't really do them a lot of justice if I am honest. Could you take any pics for us? Do they have a HID white colour?
  7. Do you have any pics of these on the car and operational pls?
  8. I had seized piston on each side when I went to replace my discs and pads. So I bought a refurb kit from BiggRed fitted myself. All seemed ok for approx 800 miles and once again my brakes are binding. Chris on here also had the same issue. I cant be ar5ed anymore having already attempted to DIY fix so I am sending the calipers off to BiggRed for full refurbishment. I have negotiated a small discount having already attempted DIY with their own kit and when I get them back they will have 1 year guarantee on them. Cant wait for a silent ride and worry free braking :-D
  9. They look fine don't they :-) Thanks for doing that. Now all I gotta do is wait for them to arrive from Japan :-)
  10. Cool. Any chance of some pics please? Of the car from the side and of a wheel close up?
  11. Cool. I think I will go for the ISF ones then. 1) They will suit my grey wheels better 2) They are £40 cheaper than OEM 11 spoke center caps
  12. I wonder if a bead of black silicone would 'seal the deal' on these??? hmmm
  13. Cheers. Appreciate it :-)...... decisions lol
  14. Hi Stuart. It was yourself that I took the recommendation from on Facebook ;-) So yes I thought it made acceleration more steady which I guess makes your foot "less heavy" when you press the throttle. Preventing loss of excess fuel not needed to get you round that bus ;-) Been working well for me....thanks! :-)
  15. I have recently been driving in snow mode and have to say it's either a placebo, or actually makes a diff. The logic make sense. I may be wrong but I think snow mode limits the amount of fuel going in - it certainly feels like that anyway. However sluggish it might feel when you first use it, once you get used to it it's actually lot better because if you come to overtake a bus or something switch it off and your car comes alive! haha. Honestly makes fuel go further on motorways if not all the time.
  16. That would be a great help, thanks so much! You can email to me@billnick.com if that is easier
  17. Great thanks....any chance of a picture please? I dont want to spend £60 and not be satisfied as they are from Japan I cannot send them back
  18. Hi all. I am having a bit of a mare with center caps for my new wheels. I bought some used 11spokes for the IS200 and none of them came with center caps. Lexus want £24 per cap for the OEM ones that came on the 11 spokes. The part number is 42603-53090. I bought some universal 60mm caps from ebay which were slightly too small and did not clip in properly = no good. So I am guessing the OEM caps are 62mm ish? Does anyone know if these will fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110998537824?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 Or is anyone able to give me precise 3 dimensional measurements of the OEM 11 spoke caps please? Thanks Bill
  19. In that case it would have to be a 300 LE for me....hmmmmm rare though
  20. Haha ok now I feel like a bit of a dunce....However I did follow a guide posted on LOC for renewing my coolant! I am def going to look tonight! Cheers
  21. Really? wow ok cant believe I have missed that. I renewed my coolant myself last year but used the Rad cap. I have since checked it by looking under the rad cap.
  22. LOVE the LE....thinking of swapping for one. Though I wish they came with tints and a lip spoiler on the boot :-(
