  1. Ah yes its coming back to me now....like a code on black sticker right? I will seek out the clear piece....can the be bought separately if it's not been replaced?
  2. No I am sure there is a sticker with information on it....either tyre pressures (could be drivers door) or child lock operation? I didn't know about any clear outside piece??
  3. Hi all, There is usually a sticker of some sort (maybe with information or a warning) stuck along the inside of the door shut (top side of wheel arch). Could somebody please take a picture for me? Offside Rear Door shut area.... Thanks Billy
  4. Lets hope it cures. Time will tell, please report back after 1000 miles.
  5. I followed the instructions, double and treble checked which wires to use and then found that it also only worked on the double lock. So I got the multi meter out and checked which wire pulsed on single lock and switched it over. Cant remember colours I am sorry. Best to check though as many of our cars have wiring differences due to spec and origin of sale/build. I was glad to read here about the override for Winter. Will try that out tonight - thanks!
  6. ....and it wasn't until after I had sold the car that I remember my issues with warped brakes starting just after I fell into a very large pothole. DURRRRR All I can say is....get onto ebay, get yourself a hub assembly. Do not waste cash on brakes after brakes after brakes.....AMEN
  7. Indeed I did NOT replace the arm....I had a mechanic replace the flange and bearing. Complete hubs (arm + bearing + flange) can be swapped on a driveway pretty easily which in hindsight I should have just done to begin with (cheaper and quicker).
  8. I went through 3x sets of brand new discs and pads in the space of 12 months, each of them started to wobble under braking after 300-500 miles of wearing in. All different brands/makes. I refurbished my calipers before the 1st new set. Renewed flange and bearing before the 2nd set. 3rd set a garage put on after I asked them to investigate. Then I decided to sell and get the IS250. So I put on a 4th set and put it up for sale making sure I didn't drive it enough to wear them in and I haven't heard from the new owner..... Only thing I didn't do was swap out the hub.
  9. Hi all, I have an idea for customising the chrome inserts of my headlights, but incase I get it wrong, I would like to get hold of another set of chrome headlight inserts to perform the paint job on. Long shot I know but if anyone has or hears of some headlights heading for the bin, please let me know. Merci Bill

  11. Wow that is unlucky for a write off....what was your mileage if you don't mind me asking?
  12. This looks awesome. I had the old GROM Audio with bluetooth in my IS200. Bit expensive, will have to save up. Thanks for the pointer however :-)
  13. Ok but 245 40 18 would be a much smaller drop in rolling radius. I guess 40% of 245 is greater than 35% of 255 therefore closer to standard? J Henderson. Any other issues apart from dazzling oncoming drivers? I have self levelling HID headlights so thinking this wouldn't even be an issue for me?
  14. Genuine Toyota £79.99 Lexus Birmingham and ya good for another 60k miles. JOB DONE, look nowhere else :-)
  15. Dammit. So you decided to stretch a little? Not much I guess. How about going for a 35 profile? Not ideal for Winter I know, but the back of the car does seem to sit up higher than the front, smaller profile might fix this illusion no?
  16. Is 255 40 18 an uncommon size? I am finding them very expensive and not a lot of choice??
  17. Ok thanks guys. I will check out the inside door. Didn't realise it had all variations on it.
  18. Regenerating this thread as I cannot find the answer to my questions anywhere.... What is the OEM tyre sizes for the 18" ISP Mode alloys please? The multi spoke wheels that are found on the face lift F-Sport models? Thanks Billy
  19. Indeed it is not rocket science, but more 'Car Science'..... I was worried about getting so far into it and shearing or rounding a bolt etc etc....there are ALWAYS issues that slip you up when working on your own car outside of a professional environment. When I was in my 20's I was always game, and got by fixing almost everything myself. Now in my 30's earning more money - I am happy to pay for a professional (quick and reliable) service. Each to their own - the video makes it very hard to make a wrong move. Just hope your car is kind to you on the day ;-)
  20. 6 years on from this thread, are you aware of any later products on the market for iPhone to Nav mirroring? I have been on the VAIStech website but all seem to be out of stock. Someone in the US managed to get an Android kit, and using an Apple Lightning/HDMI cable, mirror his iphone including all apps onto the nav screen WITH touch ability too. Now in 2017, I am waiting to hear of a wireless mirroring solution. Perhaps you could connect a Google Chromecast or alike device into the HDMI?
  21. Thanks. I have read your thread (quickly on the train commute) and I am very interested in getting my iphone onto the factory nav screen. Looks like the products needed from VAISTech are out of stock - though I may jump onto your thread and ask a few further questions. Until then, I am looking for good cradle mounting solutions/ideas as an interim measure.
  22. Hi all, I currently place my iPhone 6s into the little cup holder just behind the gear stick, with it angled towards me. Looking for pics of your solutions for situating your phones somewhere more convenient to glance at? Anyone using a cradle that charges without all the nasty cables? I have also seen people mould a desktop charger into the ash tray.....details of that also appreciated. Thanks, Bill
  23. New pump went in yesterday, she's running sweet and "silient" once again :-) My guy who trained at Toyota is now running his own Toyota Indy garage - charged me 2.5hrs labour @ £55ph + £33 coolant top up which was original Toyota pink. Total cost including pump £277 vs £395 that Lexus Sidcup quoted me!
  24. I hadn't noticed the o-rings but I didnt open the plastic inside the box. I have bought the exact same AISIN pump so I am sure they are in there.
  25. Isn't the gasket metal? It came with a metal gasket.
