  1. Anybody looking to import parts from Yahoo Japan, I have just used a guy to import a set of GSF wheels and have to say he’s been a pleasure to deal with. DM me for details thus not to advertise.
  2. Car looks awesome and what a top spec too by looks of it. USB is obviously the fastest colour ;-); facelift DRL lights (a must); the option alloys and RED LEATHER! Pleased for you! Good luck with the import, hopefully you'll bring to a meet and or show or two in the UK - stay active on the site matey.
  3. It’s a satisfying job to do yourself. The engineering makes it very easy. If your discs are siezed on use the 13mm caliper bolt to screw into the threaded hole on face of the disc to push it off the hub - genius!!
  4. If you have self healing pads, then I have self healing tyres! haha I fitted new tyres Feb 2022 (8mm tread). Aug 2022 the annual service vehicle checklist shows 7,7,7 across all 4 tyres - as you would expect. Feb 2023 I went in for the fuel tank recall. The health check reported 5,5,2.5 on the fronts and advised me to monitor the inner edge (being 2.5). It was not this low, I measured it at home. The same technician also told me I had "a slight lip on discs" - I had fitted brand new OEM discs just 2 weeks before this report lol. August 2023, next annual service. Health check reports 5,5,5 for all 4 tyres and "nearly new brakes". Take the health check with a pinch of salt and do you own checks afterwards. I think in my case the same technician did my 2 annual services and different one did the recall work. However, seems you DO need discs and pads. My recommendation is OEM discs with Red Stuff pads and reuse the sensors if you get them off carefully - spray and clean before trying to pop them out of the old pads - they do go brittle. You might also want to purchase new fitting bolts which come in a kit. As @mr2lad said above, go to RockAuto as despite coming from the US you can get this kit (and sensors) for a fraction of the price. Nice new shiny bolts add extra satisfaction to the job 🙂
  5. Hi all, I was invited and accepted to display my car at Go Japan this year which is being hosted at Brands Hatch (Kent). As such im afraid I won’t be stepping up to organise another meet in Sep any longer. If anyone local (or not) fancies it, it’s Sunday 24th Sep and general entry tickets are cheaper if bought online in advance. Ill be in the “individuals” area which if same as last year will be next to the main entrance.
  6. Awesome 😎 Bet you can’t wait to get out and smash it up to 6/7000rpm 👌🏼 I hear you RE the track days. I had such a great day on my first (Bedford) then I fitted the Invidia and can’t go back there 🙈
  7. Ps does it smell of rotten egg?
  8. Sounds epic! However I don’t think I could live with headers daily without a valved exhaust after hearing your video lol proper racey/rowdy love it! I also fitted USRS to my RCF and totally agree, so much tighter and totally night and day when breaking hard from speed. Who is tuning for you?
  9. Can’t believe how lucky you was to find these RHD in the US. Hats off for fitting on your drive too, I’ve done plenty of DIY jobs on the driveway and this just does not compute for me lol, well done. I’m sure your first start will bring a grin or three 👍🏼
  10. Very interesting and good for you for giving it a shot. Looking forward to hearing it 👍🏼
  11. So assume that means removal of the shaft for fitting?
  12. I find the box sluggish and unresponsive in Normal mode in general, I haven't really pin pointed it to a particular gear change. If I want responsive I immediately turn the dial to Sport and think nothing more of it. You have to remember the ECU is trying to balance economy when in ECO or Normal, so it will be applying that to gear changes etc. Sport and Sport + there is not Economy mapping on either the box or the throttle.
  13. Ha I guess this is one of the downfalls buying a car 2nd hand you don’t really get a decent handover of all the functions. Having said that I discovered the kickdown on my test drive, a proper gut wrencher lol 👍🏼
  14. Sport and Manual mode if you want to be in full control all the time.
  15. I would think so if we were to keep it to F owners
  16. Shall we/me/I get the ball rolling with a new thread for this idea? See how much interest it attracts and if it does, we should put an official advert in the events section?
  17. I agree. When I decide whether or not to tell insurance, I think "what would the engineer be able to spot in the event of an accident inspection" If not blindingly obvious or looks OEM anyway, then don't bother. Fitted braided lines to my IS200 and performance was noticeably different, I like a firm pedal as do you. But then again, keeping the fluid fresh can achieve this on some cars.
  18. If I need to send £10 for the last min drop out, pls let me know and I will 🙂
  19. Despite me not making it (gutted and daughter still unwell 😞) thanks from me for organising @B1RMA I know it can be a bit like herding cats. Perhaps we might get another one in before the weather turns horrid again...
  20. Guys (and girls) I’m absolutely gutted!! My daughter is sick and so I’ll need to stay home with her today and won’t make it to the meet. Please take plenty of photos for me to gorp at online, have a good one 👍🏼
  21. Feels like we're going to get a decent turn out. Looking forward to meeting you all and seeing the cars.
  22. Are you lowered? How many mm? And are those spacers? What size did you go for? lol
