Having just found out about the special 6 stage paint that is the Azure Blue, I would urge anybody that goes to view this blue RCF down in deep kent to inspect the body very very carefully. As mentioned above the dealer had the bonnet resprayed and although it looked good on the surface, I was looking at it completely unaware of the special paint required. I am also 99% sure his back street body shop did not blend in the wings or bumper as he asked them to take it off the car..... This is not to put people off, just beware 🙂

Does Lexus issue any official guidance for paint care? Do's and don'ts? I love my Meguairs Ultimate Compound....kept my IS250 looking brand new!!

Unless I get hit by a bus (which isnt likely working from home), I will soon be the very proud owner of a stunning 2015 RCF in the amazing Azure Blue. Paid our @Dave400SE a deposit and all set to purchase/collect in 2 Friday's time 🙂 Haven't seen it in the flesh, but looks stunning in the pics, low mileage with plenty of remaining warranty and buying from a fellow member is always good and very reassuring. Nice to keep the good examples circling around the club, having sold my 250 to another member 2 weeks ago too. Look forward to finally getting into the F fold 🙂, cant wait!

No no, price rise was on the blue one I saw down in Kent. Interesting that Lexus have backtracked on the black one though....you are right they may have fitted or offered the standard pipe.

The dealer selling FN15 VFT has raised the price by £400...raised!? To recover the bodywork costs I expect....which, if I was him, wouldn't have paid full price in the first place.

The salesman at Tunbridge Wells branch said to me on Sunday you would probably get them to include the standard exhaust in the deal...or at least swap it back for you.

Wow What on earth were that thinking with that wrap. i guess you can never know with any car but you gotta try your hardest to get as close as possible for your own sanity.

Us Lexus owners are a bit different, we expect perfection......The dealer definitely did not appreciate this. Though he says he has 2 people he is confident will put down a deposit so we will probably see it drop off AT soon. He had the bonnet in for stone chips and bird poo staining.....upon inspection I found the bonnet to be misaligned up in the top passenger side corner. He explained that the bonnet came off for full respray which disappointed me. I mean it looked amazing with a fresh coat of paint, but didn't fill me with confidence that this body shop could not do better. Plus there was a dent on the passenger rear qtr which the dealer said he couldn't see. Coupled with higher mileage and no warranty.....I was happy to walk....the dealer was not happy at me walking that was for sure! However, someone will find it a home I am sure. I am just looking for a perfectly looked after one....and I think I might have just done that via the forum 😉 watch this space.

There is not doubt having seen my first one in the flesh tonight, the RCF is an incredible machine and I love it more than I did before. However, this particular example isnt for me. There were a few niggly bits on it and coupled with the fact that the dealer knew nothing about these cars, I was happy to walk. He said he has 2 others interested, one of which already viewed the white one on AT....anyone on here?

You must have a magic money tree Graham! Tbh I saw my first RCF in the flesh tonight and I actually quite like the standard diamond cut wheels....pics dont do them justice. If someone offered me GSF or the RCF option wheels for a decent enough price I would be tempted but not all is lost if not.

Off to see the blue one on Autotrader tonight....cant wait. Though I have been chatting a fellow member about his BETTER example so all depends how much I want a sunroof and 2 tone interior.....

serious!? I’m buying an RCF and I really don’t like the standard diamond cut alloys. the GSFs are awesome, but not at that price. how come the US got the grey/polished 20 spokes and we didn’t? I’ve also seen them on later 2018 models. That might be a cheaper route....

I saw a GSF at Lexus Tunbridge Wells yesterday and have to say I loved those rims soooo glad to hear they’re a direct fit onto the RCF. i wonder how much Lexus would want for a set....£1000 per corner probably 😭

Sat in the GSF at Tunbridge Wells today, truly epic car! I just dont need the extra space so the extra money not worth it for me. Incredible for anyone who buys it....

Well the dealer cancelled my appointment tomorrow, the car is at bodyshop for stone chips and wont be back till Monday....disappointed and deflated. Its an hours drive for me and cant really get there apart from weekends, but being away next weekend I think I might have to settle with going Monday evening and look at it under the indoor lighting. If I do like it, will not pay deposit till ive seen it in the daylight.

How does the price compare to OEM?
