  1. Did they apply the club discount?
  2. Agree with you both. Sorry to stray from the topic...
  3. Funny you should say that. I said that to a traffic cop once and he said that so long as a drive way is NOT secured with a gate or other perimeter which does not allow for any vehicle to pass onto it freely, then it is classed as part of the 'public road' and road traffic rules apply. Still to this day do not know whether I believe him or not.
  4. I think the concern on this car is there is no recent service history at all....
  5. There are a lot of VERY good independent garages out there but a car like this without even that to show is a risk and you’re right to walk. A few more appeared on AT this week. Best of luck
  6. Another one here who bought mine privately in October 2020. 2015 model bought from a fellow member on here (first tick of confidence). He had the Lexus 2 year warranty inspection in August 2020 (2nd tick of confidence). History is full Lexus barring one which was with a Land Rover main dealer as they sold it on their forecourt to the previous owner. But the receipt showed all the work they done including tyres and other bits to get it showroom fresh. However, like others have said above, despite the Land Rover service, Lexus inspected it during the next service and granted the 2 year warranty - so I was happy. Do a comprehensive HPI check for definite (perhaps after viewing it). Before viewing run through the MOT history on Gov.uk as any advisories can give you a clue what to check for when you go to see it. If advisories have not been rectified then that tells you something about how well it has been kept (or not). If everything checks out, make sure you write a receipt which you can both sign as proof of OWNERSHIP, not just keeper (V5). Hopefully once you share the details here, someone will know the car 🙂 Good luck, awesome motors!!
  7. Azure Blue changes in different lights. I love it 🙂 Sunset is the best....looks really deep in that light...
  8. Yes heard lots about dust savings on Yellow/Red Stuff
  9. Well it will pass MOT as is on brakes at least. When I get some time I will remove them and see what they are.... As you say, Green Stuff not suitable - however I have not noticed a problem with performance, they are very good brakes!
  10. Perhaps. I know a lot of owners recommend YellowStuff. Maybe someone else with come forward and recognise them as another aftermarket brand. I expect OEM are black as usual with Lexus/Toyota.
  11. I thought Green Stuff too, however I thought they were for smaller cars like hot hatches.... No clues in the history unfortunately....
  12. Hi all, MOT tomorrow, so just checked my tyres with a gauge and brakes etc etc. Noticed my front brake pads have a bright green backing....does anyone know if these are OEM or recognise them as an aftermarket brand? No complaints on performance, I am just curious as to what is fitted. Appreciate the picture isn't brilliant, taken by holding my phone inside the alloy. (2015 RCF)
  13. Yehhhhh maybe not I thought that was the price at Lexus...
  14. Take it the wheels on that side are totalled? I fancy a set of GSF rims....
  15. Yeh I have contacted my local tinter.....smoked it is
  16. Yeh you're right I was going to go smoked, I agree it will suit the blue better than dark/black. Hopefully someone with a blue RCF can send me a pic...... Place that did my windows on the IS250 do lights aswell....I will contact them.
  17. Hi all, Been looking at GSF pictures and drooling over the rear light clusters, they have darker inserts etc and look much more aggressive than those on my 15 RCF. I wonder if anyone has modded their RCF rear lights? If so please post pics and methods below...looking for inspiration. Thanks Bill
  18. Question: Can you connect a charger with the battery still connected to the cars loom? I remember on some old cars you could fry some electrics doing that....? Perhaps my chargers instructions will offer guidance on that.
  19. Ive got a pretty comprehensive charger, Ill put that on it tomorrow run diagnostics/repairs.
  20. Just checked my battery health via my tracker and it says 12.4v. Is that so bad? Should I get trickle charger? Bitterly cold out, but even so I am probably doing max 100 miles per week at the moment...
  21. How do you get Expert mode? I was sure I saw it on a review video then couldn't find it on my car.....(RCF) Not that I will be using it much if I cant even turn it on 🤣
  22. Same for me. I bought it on 23900 in October, now on 25,500 despite lockdown restrictions. Only wish I had somewhere to go each week like you do @mr2lad
