  1. Be up for a meet somewhere in the South of England. Ideally somewhere I need to drive to for at least a good hour please 🙂
  2. Even more this month, spotted taking pics down in Dorset lol
  3. Ha. Although if you’re from the US with access to far more product, Invidia is the “quiet” option lol
  4. The car in this review has the Quicksilver fitted.
  5. Of course. The Quicksilver certainly gave me what I wanted over OEM, but I really want polished tips and a full system now so....
  6. Hi all, I pulled the trigger on the Invidia Q300 catback which means my Quicksilver (axle back) is available for sale (fits RCF). The Invidia has a 6-8 week lead but willing to put my OEMs back on if someone is interested in having the Quicksilver before then. PM me directly to discuss details, looking for £800 ono (they're now £2,200 brand new).
  7. My RCF drivers seat also had worn bolster when I bought it and I had it repaired at a place called https://colorglo.co.uk/ They do all kinds of leather repair and colour change. When I went to the workshop he was just finishing a complete colour change for a 5 series from cream to plum purple! Madness. Also restores chesterfields etc. They are based in East London (Poplar). I stumbled across the owner when I was at Lexus Sidcup one day. They use him to repair any of their used stock before they go for sale. I even recommended them for club discount but not sure how that progressed @Steve ?? Anyway, attached is before and after of the work they did for me. Bill
  8. Yes long been normally means key is still in the car somewhere or door/boot/bonnet is open.
  9. Haha nice one, I’ve got about a 3rd of a tank left so might pass the local Esso see what they’re saying 👀
  10. Just wish I had a reason to drive 600 miles per week myself....
  11. Maybe I am lucky....but I do not experience brake squeal.... Dust, yes of course. More so on the rear as my valet guy pointed out today. I put that down to RWD etc, but perhaps I have different pads in the front. Not fussed till they go low tbh, but wanted to know what to buy in advance.
  12. @Silkmen could you be so kind as to provide an update on your Yellow Stuffs pls dude?
  13. I have signed up for 2022 updates and as soon as I can get details of a stand with JapFest, I will start rustling up interest in here. Need to register as a 'club' and a minimum of 5 cars must go on display to qualify - no maximum. As soon as the dates get released I will get in touch with Steve and go from there. But I can probably assume at least 5 Fs will be interested + any non F members if we do a club wide stand.
  14. I missed 2021, looked into it just a week after it was held dammit. Up for getting a crowd of F's together, if Admin are watching/reading let me know, willing to help.
  15. Forgive if something like this is already covered by admin and forgive me again for not being as inclusive (non F) as I probably should be however.... What's everyone's thoughts on the title of this thread?
  16. Now wondering how many years mine "suffered" the 95 for 😞 Still, I am sure the knock has more than adjusted itself now it has had Esso 99 for almost a year/6000 miles ish.
  17. Interesting. I put my RCF on the dyno just after I bought it and it was slightly down on power vs what is written officially. The tester did ask what fuel I use and I had only been putting in 95 and I know from having the conversation that the previous owner also used 95 and lived right next door to a Tesco garage. Since that Dyno test I have used Esso Supreme 99 only (about 5,000 miles worth). I might go back to the dyno see if it has made that small difference. As for the crisis, well. I got very lucky as Lexus Sidcup owed me a gesture of goodwill and put in a full tank of BP premium for me on the day before the headlines kicked it all off 😄. Soon to run out of course lol.
  18. That is more than I paid for my 2015 RCF with 25,000 only 1 year ago!
  19. Hi all, Thought I would share my renewal luck with everyone in case it also helps whilst you are searching. Last year I was a first time 'F' owner and got a pretty good price with Chris Knott - £750 underwritten by Highway which is LV. This years renewal was marginally higher at £760 - not too bad you are thinking? Well I obv did the usual looking around and all the big comparison sites could not compete (same as last year). However I went back to try Performance Direct again (broker) as they were quite close to Chris Knott last year. They quoted me £420 and it is underwritten by..........Highway (LV) same as Chris Knott! Chris Knott tried to challenge Highway on this and they were told that Performance Direct get a larger volume discount etc etc. Got all my policy docs through and everything is exactly the same as last year for £300 less - happy days! Give both of these brokers a try - and be sure to mention your LOC membership to both of them too!

  20. I guess there is an awesome opportunity for anyone that wants to sell without replacing immediately. But otherwise, it's all relative as the majority of used cars are currently inflated/up. I have been considering a move from RCF to GSF but won't be doing that right now....
  21. That feels a bit punchy, what you reckon?
  22. I think if I had bought my RCF new, I would have invested in front end PPF for sure and might get it put on if I have it sprayed.
  23. I have one particularly bad stone chip on my bonnet which I am nervous to have repaired owing to colour match. So, I thought I would enquire at Lexus themselves hoping they use someone that has at least painted our colour before (8X1) as well as some form of guarantee if I am not happy. For bonnet, bumper and wing blend I was quoted £1950 + VAT. I have sent the code to a bodyshop I have always used and trusted in the past, they crash repair prestige cars etc. He is doing some research into the paint process and going to do some practice boards for me to see before offering me an estimate for the work. The Azure Blue is the most eye catching colour out there, but as with 'all things nice'...........it comes with a price.
