    I do sometimes experience the dash button not responding - but never looked into that properly. Can't report any noises either....then again, I keep mine fixed in the up position most of the time.

    Morning all No I did not hear directly from any of the club team, so unfortunately haven’t taken it any further. I also need to step back from organising as my wife kindly reminded me last night that we fly out on a family holiday on April 10th…..Doh!! Something we booked after a couple of drinks during lockdown last year that I totally forgot about. Hopefully some of you will still be able to get together and enjoy the day out. Im also always up for a regional meet in the South of England.

    Pretty sure you can move the shifter using the manual release button without the need for any power. I moved my shifter back n forth when I had the dash out to fit apple car play. All the while my battery was disconnected, I’m sure of it.

    Agreed! I had the same car with GROM fitted too so enjoyed touch screen Apple CarPlay on a 2008 car! My mate with a 2015 Audi was super jealous ha.

    I agree the mileage wouldn't put me off, not least with FLSH either. Reflected in the price too. But might put off others who might be coming over from a German marque or not had a Lexus before. I bought my RCF private for almost £30k. But only because it came with 22 months fresh Lexus extended warranty AND it was a fellow member here. IMO that made it as good as buying from a dealer as I could go straight there with any problems the very next day under warranty. But, perhaps I am braver than most and already prepared to chop the RCF into a dealer when the time comes and any private sale is difficult.

    I don't think I would go so far as upgrading to one of the Android units for $899. Very happy with my apple car play add on for £200, I only use OEM for DAB and that is it....

    Agreed. But if you’re looking for one you’d go see it right away anyway. If I could sell my RCF overnight I’d be tempted.

    I’ve also noticed the OEM pipe on the rear sections are flattened in places. Panicked first of all thinking someone had damaged them whilst stored in my garage. I guess it’s to clear some suspension or for consistent ground clearance. But you’re right, must be restrictive even if negligible.

    That’s a remarkable result. Anything else changed since the baseline run in December? Same fuel?

    Ha. I had practice on my IS250 before and IS200 before that so not as scary once you have done a couple. I would be happy to oversee you doing it yourself, seen as you are not too far away. Note, there are 'better' products available, like the Lexion 10" or indeed an Android 10 unit which are also available. However, I am only interested in adding Apple Carplay to my OEM system so went for this one - which I had tried and tested in my wife's Mercedes too.     I am awaiting an Invidia Cat Back which by all accounts in the US is a happy medium. Releases that V8 sound but not obnoxiously loud. A lot of US owners say that its the exhaust the car should have come with. No valves...but with it not being madly loud you prob dont need them.

    I suspect the software asks for all those parameters beforehand or it’s all preloaded in a database of vehicles….

    Ah ok so is selecting the gear ratio part of dyno setup then? Clearly I am no expert in this field... The dyno I went on applies a conversion factor in real time - the details of which I don't know. It wasn't something he calculated himself as such, he was able to toggle between WHP and BHP on the screen. I will definitely post my results, but wont be until march time. I am not fitting the Invidia until after a track day I have booked on 24th Feb - sound restrictions etc....
