    MOT ...... looks like it's been parked up on the grass for 8 years maybe ....... rust takes hold that way BUT oh my, on top she looks great and at only 200k miles too ..... it passed the 110k miles in 2008 ! summat not quite right eh, and at that price it's a steal ... of your money methinks Malc

    the Ls400 Jap imports never began life with the EGR pipe ... seems to have been a UK or euro requirement I guess Malc

    we had one of these till 2016 but sadly she just fell to pieces with rust all around the bottom ...... 148k miles and a '94 plate but wow, she felt like a sports car, short little manual gear stick and go faster seats ...... brilliant little thing and that amazing hatchback too ..... wot a car ! Malc

    hope it's just the bulbs that are replaceable reading other posts on here with LED headlamps, the bulbs are NOT replaceable / removable, you have to replace the whole headlamp at ............ hold tight ! £1000 a time Malc

    for the time she's at uni maybe the simplest and best option is just to have the car on the road full time, in your and her care as appropriate ...... it's only money . if you can afford that .... she'll doubtless make a sensible contribution as and when she can ... it's in her nature seemingly ......... she sounds a good sort and probably untypical of her generation sadly ...... where's that cheque book ??     it's a parental ( or maybe a grandparental ) thing ................. supporting one's kids in all sorts of financially expensive ways ..... sometimes throughout life they just have to be deserving of that support ......... and understand the graciousness of it's effectiveness and wonder Malc
