if these are " simple " gas struts that need refurbishing then on the Ls400 site, guys use SGS with good results I have personally used SGS some years back too ( on my Mazda at that time ) Malc

mine's a Sept 2006 56 plate car with 135k miles now ......... I doubt they made them in the UK, they sold so very very few of these cars, just a few hundred I think over the period from 2006 to maybe 2012 ? before they withdrew the model from the UK market yet it's a very fine 3.5 ltr limo ... just to my mind not as good or as comfy as my Ls400 Malc

had my Honda Legend windscreen replaced a couple of months ago .... a VERY rare car indeed ....... OEM Honda screen available off the shelf within a couple of days and all done via Saga insurance and £75 excess ....... easy peasy for me thankfully Malc

does your insurance include replacement glass ... most comprehensive policies do there's usually a clause that you only pay say £75 towards the cost if done at one of their nominated fitters, otherwise the cost to you could be much higher methinks the stand alone cost of a new refitted windscreen can cost loads £££ there's sometimes all sorts of nuances with sensors etc to be considered why not advise your insurer and just ask ? Philip, wot a loada tosh ............ the poor guy probably hasn't ever been told about the nuances of Lexus Gold Cards ...... nor even knows wot a Lexus is ...... age 17 and straight out of school with an amazing state education Just chill with some of these downtrodden employees, working for a pittance when they could be retrained as HGV drivers on a £ grand a week and full board too ( in their cabs ) Halfords did me proud with 2 x new Falken tyres the other month for the Honda Legend ........ charged me the lowest competitive price match in the local area ......... and I never asked, they just did it .... for the first and only time in memory Halfords came up trumps Malc

last week at Bury St Edmunds this 5+ red super 99 octane Premium Unleaded was at 155.9p ltr now that's what I call eye wateringly expensive Malc

and in simplistic terms ........... I take it that this means that on E10 my 1995 Ls400 will perish....... and the plastic fuel cap will disintegrate into the petrol tank ........... and the ECU will have to work especially wonderful, like Japanese technology does , to prevent that debris being drawn into the fuel lines and stopping me driving at 0 - 60 mph in less than the 3.6 seconds I can now do on the super-doopa E5 97 octane Premium Unleaded fuel from Morrison's at 137.7p per litre By the way, I have yet to prove the advanced acceleration of 0 - 60 mph that I'm thinking I can now achieve on Premium Unleaded 97 Octane ........ but I'm sure expecting improved fuel consumption ...................for sure vide: drove 225 miles to Newmarket and back M11, M25 and M2 mostly 70 mph and then to Faversham and return ( local roads ) all from home and achieved 27mpg overall .............. tank full to tank full measuring ...... not bad for a 26 year old lady 4ltr V8 unmolested engine etc, serviced annually and now on 234k miles Malc

Depreciation seems to be quite high from reading those prices BUT so what, when you're spending nigh on £100k what's the odd £25k a year depn to worry about😵 Malc

Ls400 .... many on here with one ( or maybe two ) will encourage you, there's even one or two for sale on here vide PlasticOrange's car that could well be a very very rare original DHP model ........ if you could finely fettle the odds and sods that might need your tlc Malc
