  1. criminal minds at play Many many years ago when I owned a car sales business I was standing outside my mum's bungalow in Herne Bay when I saw one of our stock cars, an Audi driving down the road when it shouldn't have been Called my business partner to ask what the hell ..... why was this car some 60 miles away on a Sunday afternoon ? ..... he peeked out of the showroom office and hey, OUR stock car was still there in all it's bright shining polished glory Been CLONED Malc
  2. just thinking .......... is it something that an old fashioned blacksmith could produce ? Malc
  3. it's a 7 year old car ! Malc
  4. very smart paint finish ............ . it's an anti theft deterrent maybe a little fettling and she should make a great, but unusual purchase Malc
  5. hahahahaha, my business office is in Delhi ........... not been there for a couple of years due to covid etc BUT they tell me the roads are as blissfully quiet ..... I jest ...........and chaotic as ever and cycling is just about the only speedy means of transport thru' the mass of seething cars, vans, trucks, scooters and buses .......... even cycles when overladen with bags and boxes and several passengers It's sure a fun place to be ............ Malc
  6. and think of the terrible pollution if one or several were to fall into those wonderful canals in Amsterdam .. hope they can swim ... or maybe those canals are so polluted to be a threat to the immersed cyclists ..... anyone know the pollution ( or cleanliness ) levels of those idyllic Amsterdam canals .. nothing to moan about there for sure eh ! Malc
  7. can't believe all this ....... when mine start to loose distance on the screen I just find that pin and poke it in and hey ho ! they work like new again for another long time until all the road crud blocks them again BUT ... I must admit on the high tech Honda Legend I also have ( 56 plate ) the jets themselves just have to be replaced at silly cost coz the old tec option of a pin in the nozzle just doesn't work ............ built in obsolescence methinks Malc
  8. just don't drink it eh ! Malc
  9. or not Doog no seriously, I'm never an advocate of running anyone down either on the road or pavement ... the drain on the UK taxpayer to sort it all out with Police, NHS, enquiries, new council signage costs . oh my, no just BAN cyclists all together to some far flung outpost ... Tonga might be a good idea .......... luxuriate in the South Pacific ..... maybe on a Community Order programme ( oh no of course not, that's funded by the taxpayer too ! ) Malc
  10. are there any laws that stop cyclists from riding on the pavement ? or can they just do whatever with impunity ? wonder if the cyclist was on his mobile phone at the time too .... it's there ready to video the incident for sure LOCK 'IM UP and throw away the key I say ...... break his legs so he can't ever cycle again methinks 😵 Malc
  11. Welcome Steven and I know there's mountains of info on this Forum for you any thoughts to let us see more piccys etc ? The radiator might need changing for preventative maintenance too and peace of mind .......... but it's all fully explained somewhere why etc Best wishes Malc
  12. is it sometimes on the original windscreen too ........ bottom right Malc
  13. and in Rochester High Street Kent there are many many cyclists that just cycle with impunity the wrong way down this one way road .... then get annoyed and wave their fists when cars come towards them .. I s'pose they could just be offering a cheering greeting tho' 😈 Run 'em all over I say and damn the consequences ....... could this possibly be out of context I wonder Malc
  14. and dirty water can hide big holes, obstacles like logs etc ..........just below the surface BUT I s'pose I'm just ( too ?? ) careful having had quite some of life's experiences Malc
  15. don't understand the mindset of drivers who think they are above reality when it comes to water and cars swimming ........... they just cannot and sense tells drivers surely to just STOP and turn around ! Maybe not tho' eh! Malc
  16. if I ever see that whilst driving I just STOP and pray they get off the road very very quickly and cyclists with extreme attitude really get my goat ... some think they actually own the road and cars are a blo---dy nuisance .......... who'd have thought that eh ! Malc
  17. Paul it's really quite astounding that you would have had the likelihood of a Ls400 with a knackered engine at such low miles ..... I've always thought the drivetrain was unimpeachable in these beasts .......... Well done in stopping this happening so early in the life of your car ...... mine, I can expect anything untoward at 237k miles BUT I'm touching wood and fingers xd that all will continue well with mine ......... yours too of course ....... I'm sure it will ...... it's just the silly other buggers on the road that tempt providence with slight knocks etc that make the insurers open wide their eyes and close their chequebooks ........... is she well insured, better than most now ? Well done with her whatever ........ and very Best Wishes Malc
  18. and Paul ....... how depleted is your bank balance from all this tlc Malc
  19. I find this amazing . why on earth should cyclists be allowed not to protect other road users from their own causation of accidents etc ? Wonder if the Motoring Organisations have a view on this Has anyone on here been damaged by a cyclist and had trouble claiming on them for repairs etc I haven't yet but after my Upchurch village incident I think it's quite likely that some cyclist at some stage is going to cause my car some harm .. it's just a matter of time methinks Malc
  20. ANYONE know the answer I wonder Malc
  21. Wot on earth could need this doing on such a newish car for heavens sake ??? Malc
  22. Minister Hacker i.e.Paul Eddington ( RIP ) was the most useful of all MPs and PMs this country has ever seen or will ever see .......... except PM Boris who is doing a sterling job in promoting sterling and giving this country some sterling effort too .... but before we all jump on this bandwagon let's just wait and see what the Friday Gray Report brings forth eh ! Malc
  23. doing about 10mph is slow enuf for me to negotiate these regular poorly marked humps in Upchurch village Kent BUT I do slow to almost a STOP to actually lift the car up and over the initial slope to achieve a smooth result The 2 cyclists in tandem were wearing lycra yes .... does that mean they're exempt from ??? Clearly the first of the two cyclists braked so so hard, the squeal was amazingly loud ( no, my brakes don't squeal ) and I didn't even see him, how close he was behind me, I suspect he was so so close, being out of vision of my door mirrors . Do cyclists have to have insurance for road traffic issues ? or are they exempt if they wear lycra maybe Malc
