  1. NO just the size changes will apply ........... or if they're manufactured in France Malc
  2. oh that's to come I'm sure . built in obsolescence and need for a retrofit of an ordinary dash with dials when the new MOT rules come in banning those screens .... what, maybe 5 years hence Malc
  3. but I do find google maps a blessing . what's the point in having a built in satnav ....... jeez I'm so pleased my Ls400 is so behind, or now in advance of, the times by NOT having a wasteful satnav screen Malc
  4. oh my ... tooooooo bright for me, might wake me up Malc
  5. presumably you have a Ls400 ? Has happened to me on a couple of very very rare occasions over recent years and thankfully it's just popped back to life I had assumed it's to do with changes in outside climate, temperature or damp getting in somewhere or, as advised above, something rather more serious but not catastrophic hopefully .... I wouldn't put your hopes on any auto-electrician being able to advise either All my dealings with them have drawn a resounding " blank " when faced with an Ls400 Malc
  6. eeerrrmmm ! run 'em down maybe ............. then there's 0% troublesome cyclists I jest ............ or do I Malc
  7. the one specific shot of the silver Ls standing on the wet glossy concrete ? drive is brilliant ... photographic genius Malc
  8. BUT for Yorkshire I could deploy a specific Wallace and Grommit contingent maybe 😉 Malc
  9. OMG you really have someone who uses the rear seats then ? That's brilliant ....... Malc
  10. so you often go look inside your boot in the dark ? Malc
  11. maybe this is one of the strategic reasons why the Libraries are being left to simply close down ..... gone are the days, long long back, when I visited to read there the daily newspapers ..... Times, Guardian, Telegraph and heaven forbid, the Financial Times too ............ that was pre-covid times of course Malc
  12. I've decided an appropriate grandchild might be the optimum cleaning assistant Malc
  13. just my observations ... some cars with ridiculously bright lights are a menace to other road users ......... whether or not those bulbs can be considered legal or not I do not know BUT they are clearly available to purchase and install and it might be that insurers are taking a stance on being ultra careful if an accident is to be blamed by a 3rd party on the lights intensity etc of the vehicle causing or contributing to such an accident just my / a view ......... bright or not Malc
  14. only slightly more expensive than my standard bulbs from Halfords at £8 a pair .... long life too no doubt ! Malc
  15. I find the inside of my REAR screen just as, or even more so, troublesome to " get to " to clean Malc
  16. Govt Tracker possibly ............ Big Bro keeping tabs on you maybe Malc
  17. Military Police . no thank you .. Member of Parliament and in the Cabinet, well no not really unless there's a drinks cabinet involved and only then if I can get some Oligarchial individual to attend some party or other, be doused in 150% proof vodka and given prime position at the bonfire of the vanities taking place sometime soon ...... I'm just a little stressed out at these Oligumdrop Garcis getting away with " blue murder " at the expense of normal people ..... isn't dear old Putin now about the 9th richest person in the world .... clearly got there by some good means and clever brain power in an oh so innocent fortuitous manner no doubt ............ Maybe a good dose of old fashioned communism would do them all a power of good ....... isn't it meant to be equality or summat the communist rhetoric ! I don't know, where's me 'orlicks Malc
  18. I actually meant specifically THESE TWO individual cars ... not their type or model etc Should the owners wish to partake of such delicate info Malc
  19. Defence Secretary actually Malc
  20. I'll be interested to know what these cars likely pricings / values could be Malc
  21. you've done well ....... let's hope you live long enough to outlive your " new " Lexus Malc
  22. can't see the point reading them unless you're terribly unfortunate to have to worry about the money side of it ...... and methinks most people here running a Lexus or more really don't have those dreadful money worries that so many in our society have right now No point getting worried about something if you cannot do anything about it and it's going to arrive anyway ( the bill ) and you're just going to be able to pay it whatever else you decide not to do So guys, chill out and keep warm Malc
  23. well I have a very simple view on this concept .......... like now with the potential Russian Oligarchs wealth spread throughout the UK ......... weaving and potentially hidden somewhere they think is untouchable ... well, it's really ever so simple methinks .... the Govt of the day can just arbitrarily CONFISCATE it ..... simple as that .. you don't need laws and rules to protect the nation from infidels and super crooks and thieves on this scale .. including the " buying up of debt " of sad nations ... just confiscate the wealth and the assets and cancel the Govt debt . and let the Userers go to hell for ever and a day ......... and then history will show what brave and sensible actions the Govt took to deal with the total arrogance and impudence of these " Chinese type " Govts and businesses and Oligarch thoughts that it is them and them alone that can control other peoples destinies and their nations SIMPLY strip them of their wealth and hidden assets by finding it studiously and if in other legitimate businesses the Govt take control of those underlying assets .......... very simple to my mind tbh Malc
  24. yeh but with BP setting up its new Hydrogen Plant in the North of England to then fit all it's petrol stations ( and others ) with suitable pumps methinks the autocar piece ain't quite right Malc
  25. wow, thank heavens for that then ....... my 1932 Triumph can continue to run others ragged on the roads around Newmarket with me and my driver ( my nephew ) like Cap'n Hastings and Poirot on nice summery days Malc
