evolution'ising back to simple written communication ........... and spoken where one can .......... with other Humans on this and other Forums too eh ! That's BEST for sure And as for being a former marketing man, well, me too in a strange sort of way with my own businesses years back when life was comparatively simple BUT my oh how the marketing world has changed these past couple of years even ......... can't believe, nor understand at all, the Google world of promoting one's product to best advantage with " keywords " etc . yes, my marketing professional guy has just dumped 30,000 more keywords onto the search engine re my website ...... Google advertising and promotion is now an " art form " methinks .......... get it wrong and your " done for " Oh for the simple life of asking a Question on here and getting a simple well informed answer from some helpful soul ......... long may it continue PLEEEEEASSE Malc -

an excellent reason to just simply ask an appropriate Q on here for some kind soul to come along and offer the best and simplest of answers ............. the beauty of this Forum and the helpfulness of it's participants Malc -
........... the ususl tapping the dash etc hasn't fixed it and I'm thinking, if it doesn't start to behave properly, take it to the REMAN place in Rochester we mentioned earlier ...... it's about a 30min drive for me ........... let's see if the Jubilee gives it some sense of sensibility and presence to get itself better ......... ............ yes, that Ls430 with 419k miles looks a " peach " .......... not sure I'd have enough years in me to take it to the magical MILLION miles tho' This temporary blip with my Ls400 will hopefully be just temporary and .................... I'm still waiting to hear back from the Maidstone specialist exhaust guys with their " take " on what they're going to do to fix my downpipe emissions scandal issues .......... that box thingy won't take anymore welding for the next MOT in November . so I'm getting in early to make sure all's well on the day ....... hopefully Malc

there's some good Japanese language schools you might find useful in Derbyshire ...... just stop being lazy and learn the goddam language Malc -
well today was a first ... the speedo is still intermittently playing around but usually more often working fine these days BUT . couldn't believe it, the rev counter has decided to stop reading sensibly ......... and I mean, bouncing around .. the first time in 238,600 miles it's done that now then, what's the simple likely solution . any thoughts gentlemen ? Thanks Malc

I think linking into this supercedes the thoughts that one might be lazy or can't be bothered to view a manual ..... I generally see the plus and positive side to people Malc -
not necessarily ........ welding can often be a simple long term solution to some minor exhaust problems ...... or it can just be a dastardly patch-up exercise ....... doing only 2 - 4 k miles a year really put the onus for sensible ( £££ ) maintenance on the guy looking after the car for the owner especially if it's been an elderly chap ........... indicating the tiny annual mileage of late Can you speak with the previous owner or find out about him / her ....... that would give you some better reflection on the car overall maybe Malc

over the years I'm thinking I have read where owners have found shorter more practical methods to deal with issues than offered in the immaculately worded over hundreds of pages manuals containing many 10's of '000s of words And it's good to chat with people on here too sometimes .... most are friendly and want to offer an insight into their cars .. and yours ... it's called old fashioned communication skills .. it works and it's GOOD methinks .......... well, most of the time Malc -

took her to a special ( so they tell me ) exhaust centre in Maidstone Kent today to get them to check out the front downpipe and box thingy ... my indy can't weld it up anymore at MOT time to stop emissions issues reading poorly ( there's nowt left to weld he tells me ) ......... awaiting a call back when they have investigated who, what, where and how they can do a renew - permanent fix to this now 27 years young problem with the exhaust .......... the one and only problem I've ever had with the exhaust, but quite annually these days it seems ... lost a couple of heat shields over the years where they have just about fallen off ...... age and miles eh ! ........... 238500 miles now I'll let you know how it all goes Malc

Any mortgage brokers or equity release bods in the Club?
Malc replied to Herbie's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
rob a bank methinks .......... get caught and spend some time at HM Pleasure with full board and free exercise and no need to worry about the stairs ...... SORRY I jest .......... good luck with whatever you decide upon ......... it's so important to get out of life whatever it is you wish .... some people just go on a back to back cruise for the rest of their days .... but then you wouldn't get to use your Lexus and that would be a sad day ............. Rather than equity release you could ask say, Fred Olsen for a cruise deal in exchange for your house and car etc ?? The ultimate in Equity Release Good luck with whatever you decide upon Malc -
this seems to me much better and reliable EV refilling juice technology .............. I live in a sort of a semi detached cottage with zero parking space nor ability to run a charging cable to a conventional EV for re-charging ........... and most of my neighbours are in terraced type houses with zero off-street parking ....... even the two neighbours with Bentleys ...... this simple replacing run-off, run out of juice batteries will appeal to many more who want to ditch petrol and diesel I'm sure ..... NOT me tho', I'm happy with my ancient 4ltr V8 limo Malc
-
no need ever again to panic about running out of EV juice ....... . reading Norway and the Nio and other marques where the solution is EVs with replaceable fully charged batteries . just pop in to your local re-filling station, for the Nio, and they swap over the battery in a jiffy . well, a few minutes ...... no need for a charging poinnt at home or work, nor worrying about distances it seems Anyone else read this stuff ? I'm thinking you'll be needing immeasurably deep pockets financially to keep her on the road tho' Malc

1996 LS400 REAR SPRING REPLACEMENT. WHICH TO BUY, AND WHERE?
Malc replied to Howplum's topic in Brakes & Suspension
methinks you'll only replace them the once so maybe just " bite the bullet " with LPD if they're the likely only OEM kit available right now Malc
