Welcome .. woweeee what a car for you to have ...... tell us more about the mileage etc You'll be able to get best spares OEM from the likes of Amayama and Rockauto as I'm quite sure they will be very very limited availabilty in Australia I looked to trying to hire one when visiting but that was impossible ....... and the price brand new of the then Ls600 was over equiv £250,000 " all up taxes and all etc " .... the price was a killer for sure ............. post this in the Ls400 section and you will get many words of wisdom .. and wise wisdom too for sure .... some of us have been around a long while with our Ls400s ..... even the Mk1 and your Mk2 ( probably ) Malc

I did for 23 years and made redundant back in '91 ..... and in 2019 they TOLD me they were going to close all my accounts ..... I asked why for heaven's sake and they simply said " we dont need to explain... and we won't " ......... and they never did Never had any unauthorised overdrafts or loans with them, and always dealt impeccably with all my stuff too ........ never a cross word either ......... totally baffled .. other than they also had a director with the same name as me .......... maybe that was it I held onto my shares in the cowboy outfit tho' and wowee, at long last they started to pay a didvidend ......... 53p last payout ....... just about a quarter of a ltr of petrol methinks Cest le Vie ...... and I have totally sensible, credible and worthwhile being with, bankers now thank heavens ........ if you want recommendations for both personal and business banking do ask ............ I have lots of experience with some of them Malc

just my Ls400 ... standard petrol tank size ..... a proper UK Army tank might use a tad more Malc

FUEL PANIC over for me ... I'm just paying . coz I can . and I can't worry about those poor souls that can't make ends meet ..... sod the blo--ody supermarkets, CROOKS one and all I filled up today at 196.7 at my local morisons, cheapest around for E5 it seems .... £137.88 ....... making me drive alittle cleverer tho' .... 80.1 ltr tank now seems to give me 480 miles Malc

Filled her up today with E5 at 196.7p at my local Morrisons 70.10 ltrs £137.88 and done 420 miles .......... leaving 10 trs from last fill-up so calculating she would have achieved 480 miles on a full 80.1 ltr tankfull That's quite blo---ody marvellous considering I've been batting up and down the M11 and M2 these past days ......... don't you think ? The E5 pump is on the Card Only thingy so for the first time I just used the same pump twice, one after 'tother ........... no option to visit the kiosk to pay which would have been my preference however ....... quite laden ....... and trying to keep to 70mph and astute use of brakes and gently does it where sensible and appropriate tho' ....... Malc

that's what makes it simply impossible for anybody to make a sensible comparison methinks ........ whatever their car and situation may be ...... and I've been driving almost since cars were invented, well, 55 years whatever and keeping my premiums down is a bit like guessing who what where the best value petrol might be found Malc
-
these are truly barmy prices with excessive profiteering now methinks oil Brent crude etc prices, the benchmarks, have been in decline most days recently and down to @$110 today and at that price petrol at the pump could be about £1.60'ish or so Profiteering in the extreme by those supermarkets selling the stuff ......... I'm taking all my food groceries business to non-petrol selling shops ..... Aldi and Lidl in the future Tesco, Morrison, Asda, Sainsbury CROOKS the blo-ooody lot of 'em Malc

developers will usually maximise the number of parking bays with, I'm informed a while back, the planning rules on individual car parking spaces being regulated by the minimum specified in some 1930's legislation ......... my 1930's Triumph seems quite miniscual these days I sometimes, when a Blue Badge space isn't free ( as a holder thereof ) misbehave and overlap to avoid someone parking up against my driver's door Malc

take it to a proper wheel alignment place ............. now, I had a similar corrosion issue and I did actually have to leave my car with the professional wheel alignment guys overnight whilst the magic penetrating oil did it's stuff . they did try heat source attack BUT couldn't shift it so they suggested to me to leave it overnight, I did and lo and hehold all sorted by the following day and a normal bill .. of course Your Lexus Main Stealer are simply a load of corroded nuts . useless in the extreme ........ The next £70 spent with true professionals might actually achieve all you need Good luck Malc

might the people that did the LPG conversion be able to do some appropriate diagnostics for you ? Malc -
last night on our Town Quay where we have electric points for boats to plug into ( and pay for the electric ) a sole EV car was being charged-up by a long lead with some sort of adaptor while he was overnight on our " scrubbing berth " sleeping on his boat prior to working on his hull at the coming low tide and access for cleaning etc My backyard effectively I would go for the simplicity of the Nio straight EV charged battery swap when and if I ever move onto the EV concept ............... until then it's the simplicity of a petrol pump with E5 for my V8 4 ltr limo Ls400 and .......... E10 for the Honda Legend 3.5 ltr V6 limo ...... both with a 400 - 500 mile range thankfully Malc

or the appropriate use of a clear sealant ............ Malc -
yes yes yes ... i remember now ...... they only usually charge for whichever end needs adjustment ..... so £70 if for both AND also remembering that when I had mine last done there would be zero charge if there was no adjustment needed at all ... a freebie check ............ BUT of course it was always likely that " red " would appear somewhere on the chart A good outcome Malc

Windscreen washer nozzle
Malc replied to Ahmed464's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
I'm thinking, as with my Honda Legend, the nozzle just isnt possible to " unblock " with a thread of anything ....... there's summat silly in the nozzle itself that's so stupidly high tec it just has to be replaced ...... at a silly cost sadly Malc -
nope, Lepsons wanted £410.40p and they are about a 15 mile drive away in Gillingham and these guys I'm using are about a 5 mile drive in Sittingbourne ... 01795 508596 . and I know they have been there for many years and clearly, somehow, survived the business downturn of covid times I'll report back on how it all goes .............. I'm expecting the refurb to now outlast the life of the car .......... min 25 years .... and me ! Malc

Only reason I mention Nio was reading that Norway as a Nation has seemingly fully adopted the Nio as the EV of choice effectively AND that comes from the Nio preponderance now in China I have no other knowledge . other than their system seems so much more sensible with the majority of car owners, at least in the UK, like me, having zero ability to simply recharge with a lead ........ no where for it to link up to my cars parked up the street ...... along with my various neighbours Bentleys etc Malc

Booked in with these guys for leaving the car with them on Tuesday 12th. July ( see that's the Battle of the Boyne anniversary ) ...... doing the job the 13th and then collecting the car on the 14th Malc
