  1. Thanks @ColinBarber, I knew you would have the answer.
  2. Does the standard GSF exhaust have a set of valves, that are opened for the first 10-20 seconds on a cold start, which accounts for the extra noise? I understand that the LC500 has such a system but wondered if this was the same in the GSF.
  3. Ah ok. That’s confusing on their site. Thanks for your post.
  4. It is not exempt according to the TFL website.
  5. I think it is easier to wrap the shuts and returns in that black material. Some wrap materials are difficult to stretch and hold in all of the grooves and shapes found in those areas.
  6. Yes shuts and returns will have been wrapped in black. One of the front sensors is still orange though 🙄. I was close to buying this car when it was a year old. Looks a sorry state now, but I’m sure it can all be put back to standard.
  7. I’ve had to replace 4 rear tyres in the last 18 months due to a screw in a similar position. It can not be repaired because it’s too close to the side wall.
  8. Lexus insurance was complete uncompetitive for our GSF and RX450h
  9. I’ve had 2 UX250h’s over the last few months, whilst our GSF and RX450h were being serviced. I agree on the ‘go kart’ feel but found them much more responsive and faster than the ES300h F Sport i’ve had as a loan car in the past. Nothing against the ES, it’s a very nice car, but I was left disappointed with its lack of urgency. I guess it a great cruiser. I came to the same conclusion as @rayaans regarding the ES compared to the RX, although ours is a 3RX.
  10. Wow. I’m guessing WBAC took a hit there then 🤷🏾‍♂️
  11. £35995 iirc. Purple wrap Ghost Starlight roof lining
  12. Looks like it’s had quite a bit of money spent on it, with the wrap, Ghost and starlight roof lining and didn’t keep it for long.
  13. I noticed the same on my original MPSS at 21500 miles but just on the front tyres. The rears have worn fairly evenly.
  14. We have an August 07 model and I have tried multiple times to program it via the gear knob and button method and it doesn’t work. I’m sure there is a thread on here from years ago stating that it is not possible, but clearly that’s not the case if yours has it
  15. Auto locking wasn’t available on the 2IS until the 08 models. It can’t be enabled on models before then, even with Techstream.
  16. Thanks for your reply, but I don’t think these are the correct clips.
  17. Does anyone have a parts diagram detailing all of the clips used to retainer the multiple engine bay trim panels? I have noticed that many of ours are broken or missing, so would like to replace them. I’m particularly interested in locating the type of clips missing in the photo below, taken at the top right of the engine bay Thank you
  18. The touchscreen was a factory option on all 2IS models.
  19. Sorry senior moment. I just realised that the info I originally posted was relevant to the 2IS and not 3IS 🤦🏽‍♂️
  20. I thought that it was only the cars registered from April ‘17 that would benefit from the lower VED after 5 years, once the luxury tax was dropped. The cars before this date would remain at the higher rate based on emissions.
  21. We also wanted a ‘17+ Model for the AVS. I wasn’t too bothered about the lower VED but that was just a bonus. I think there were only about 20 cars registered from ‘17 and I don’t think I there are many owners registered on here. I’m pretty sure the ‘66 plate for £42k on AT is a 17MY car, so will come with AVS, although not the lower VED. Good luck with the search. Hopefully the right car is not too far away.
  22. Yes, standard fit on the SE-L of that model year, until the next MY11 facelift.
