  1. Ah, Ok. I guess they have sent me the wrong one then. I will give them a call tomorrow.
  2. Ah cool. The dealer (Newcastle) mentioned that they were looking at potentially purchasing your car before Liverpool bought it, when they picked me up from the airport. It must be one of the last registered.
  3. Very nice. @bernie_the_bolt, is your car the one that was recently for sale at Lexus Liverpool! Here is one of ours.
  4. I average around 23 mpg around town and 34 on the motorway in our IS250. This was relatively consistent over time we had the car.
  5. I would say that is pretty reasonable. The dealership have charged us £85 per wheel in the past and the quality has varied greatly. Our 2011 IS arrived with water marks between the lacquer. Lexus Bristol had them all refurbished to a similar colour as the F Sport wheels and after 7.5 years they were still in excellent condition. However, they were washed religiously every week and covered many coats of Poorboys wheel sealant. On the other end of the scale, our 2007 IS Wheels have been refurbished multiple times by Bristol and they always begin to flake again within a year despite being cared for in a similar fashion. I guess it just depends on who they have in to carry out the work at the time, but I also wonder if the 2007 wheels are made out of a lesser alloy 🤷🏾‍♂️
  6. I’m not sure if would of interest to anyone but I purchased the Lexus Accessory Rubber/ Plastic boot liner for my GSF. After confirming with the parts department that it would fit my car, it’s finishes about 20 cm short of the rear seat backs. Not ideal but OK for what I need it for. I thought that this maybe the case as the GSF boot appears to be larger, probably because it is missing some batteries?
  7. Thank you for confirming that.
  8. On the 2006/2007 models, watch out for flaking paint on the alloy wheels and also the ‘dip on reverse’ wing mirrors failing if you go for the SE-L cars. We have had a 2007 SE-L and a 2011 facelift SE-L. Both have been brilliant cars. We only recently sold the 2011 model with 110000k on the clock and it drove like the day I bought it, just under 8 years ago with 19k. Highly recommended.
  9. Very nice. Congratulations on your new RC. I do love that colour and the new facelift design.
  10. They are such good cars. My dads IS250 SE-L will be 12 years old in September and it definitely doesn’t feel like a 12 year old car due to its design, quality and all the technology it has pack in to it. The only thing that has let down are the wheels which have suffered the usual corrosion.
  11. Very nice. Congratulations on the new car, I have always liked the NX. How did you find the IS200t?
  12. It still has a years warranty on it but I will do before it expires. Interestingly the quote I was give for the GSF extended warranty today was the same for all GS models.
  13. Thank you. I am over the moon with it 😀 The wiper mechanism was classed as 'wear and tear'. I argued it but they wouldn't budge and in the end Lexus Bristol replaced the mechanism at 'cost' which was about £100. I just didn't have the time to pursue it. The heater was rather annoyingly put down as 'wear and tear' on the warranty claim form by the incompetent service advisor who is no longer there. The warranty company rejected it and then it was an uphill struggle from then on. They sent out an assessor who together with the service advisor swore blind that it was quiet, but it wasn't. I would have pursued it but the GSF came up.
  14. We sold our 2011 Facelift IS250 SE-L Nav with 110000 miles on the clock 2 weeks ago. We bought it 9 months old with 19000 miles as an ex Lexus car. Engine and electrical wise it was faultless. The only issues we had were the wiper mechanism snapped and the heater motor started to become nosey. Lexus wouldn't cover either with their extended warranty which was very frustrating but these were minor issues, in what was a lovely car. Much more reliable than my friends German counterparts. The only reason why we sold it was because I fancied a V8 before everything became electric 😂
  15. I the GS300h that Bristol Lexus had in stock also did the same thing. I am really hoping that someone on here has managed to solve this problem, it’s not the end of the world but very frustrating. On another note, can you close the boot on your Premier with your key fob?
  16. Bristol Lexus doesn’t think that this menu can be removed on start up, which is very disappointing. The mentioned that other GS owners have also complained but Lexus GB have acknowledged that nothing can be done 🤷🏾‍♂️. Whilst I was there I noticed that my DRLs do not seem to turn on when the car is started, but come one when the car is placed in to drive. Is this normal ? The DRLs come on as soon as the car is started on our RX and my previous IS.
  17. Hi Thanks for the photos. I have tried this but the menu screen still appears over the map when I start up. @Ashrez & @hockeyedwardsI take it that this doesn’t happen when you start up and the map is instantly visible with out the Nav menu screen in the way ? I have heard back from the dealer and they have suggested that nothing can be done about this and that I have to press return every time. It sounds very odd if this is true, it is like going back to the days when Lexus made you acknowledge the T&Cs of using the Nav system before you could view the mapping 🤷🏾‍♂️ Any further help would be much appreciated.
  18. Thanks everyone. I will have a look after work. Can the boot be closed using the key remote? It can on our RX but nothing happens on the GSF.
  19. That you, that would be great. Im sure that you are used to it by now but the sound of the V8 is amazing!
  20. Hi I picked up our GSF from Newcastle yesterday. Brilliant service and I throughly enjoyed my 290 mile drive home back to Bristol. Surprisingly I averaged 30 mpg over this trip which, whilst I know this reading on the trip computer is not the most accurate, I was still very impressed considering the performance of this car. I just have a a couple of questions. Is there anyway to stop this screen showing on the Sat Nav on start up? It is frustrating to have to press return so that the map shows every time Also, does the GSF only have two front parking sensors? I can’t seem to see any in the grill. Thanks again Francis
  21. I have been informed that the car will not be at the dealer until Wednesday. On another note, is @Big Rat able to check his register for me? I tried a PM but it would not send!
  22. Very interesting. I was told that they wouldn't have the car on site until tomorrow!
  23. Yes, It looks to have been on there for a few weeks. The price has come down a bit as well since they initially posted it. i am surprised Lexus Guildford didn't snap it yup. It is the perfect colour for me but I would really like a black interior instead of the red. Nothing against the red leather, just personal preference I guess. I was surprised as well. Lexus Hull delivered our RX and picked it up again when we discovered that the windscreen wasn't fitted correctly! Newcastle valued my IS250 today over the phone but the figures were far from ideal so I think I may consider selling it privately. Good luck with the search too Barry. Let me know what the Newcastle car is like if you there before me!
