  1. I’m sure that car has been discussed on here recently. I’ll see if I can find the thread, or maybe someone will beat me to it!
  2. Yes, an absolute bargain.
  3. Very nice. I will always have a soft spot for these cars. Part of me wishes I kept it as a daily. Are those NX alloys? I’ve never seen them on a 2IS. Mine was one of the first with the DRLs. I had the F Sport front lip added by the dealer along with the GFX spoiler.
  4. Yes, viewing in person is the only real way. I agree they are relatively rare cars though. We had a facelift IS250 SE-L for 8 years in that colour and I loved it. Our RX 450h is also in that colour, although it looked a slightly different shade to the IS when we had them both parked next to each other.
  5. Yes I agree, I always assumed that piece of plastic was just cosmetic to hide the boot latch. The boot on our IS250 failed to close shortly after it was repaired after being rear ended. It required a whole new locking mechanism, which was sourced and fitted by Lexus Bristol with in 24hrs. I think the OPs problem it’s most likely something to do with the locking mechanism in the boot lid than that piece of plastic.
  6. I love this colour on the 2IS. I’m not sure I would assume that it has been well looked after though from two ropey photos and a poor description. I never understood why people don’t vacuum their car when taking photos for adverts. Also that’s a lot of power from a 0.25 litre engine. More that the standard 2.5 litre it usually comes with 😞.
  7. We’ve had our GSF for 18 months. We tend to keep our cars for 8+ years as they are generally a Lexus or Toyota and nothing major really goes wrong with them. Having said that, I can’t see us selling the F until we have to go down the electric route.
  8. I’m guessing those part numbers would not work at a UK dealership then?
  9. Will the rear wheel fit on the front without catching the wheel arch on turning ?
  10. I would be very surprised if this fits. The advert says it’s an 18” wheel and there looks to be very little room between the front calliper and the OEM 19” wheel on the car. They also mention that they can not guarantee the accuracy of their vehicle compatibility statement, which is worrying.
  11. He also liked the GSF
  12. I would also be interested in this. I had a puncture last week that was not repairable and my GSF had to be recovered back to the dealership.
  13. There is a link within this link to the original post. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/120577-anyone-know-any-history-on-this-red-is-f-yt12mjy/
  14. I think that’s the same car that’s been for sale for around 2 years. It’s been past around various independent/ supermarket dealers and appreciating in value as the time passes. I think a couple of members have viewed the car and found that it hasn’t been very well cared for.
  15. Maybe this was not a fair comparison from a speed point of view, but the poster made reference to SUVs as being slow in a separate post. This is simply not true with regards to the RX450h and that was the point I was trying to make. I personally feel confident in our RX450h F sport, going around corners. Yes it’s not as planted and direct as our GSF (as expected) but it’s more than acceptable for normal driving on everyday roads. I doubt many of us use our cars in the track where I agree there would be a relevant difference.
  16. I have to disagree with this. We have two young kids and use a 3RX and a 4GS as family cars. The GS replaced our 2IS. Whilst the GS has more boot capacity in litres over the RX, the RX is much more practical as the space is more accessible and useable. It also has the benefit of folding seats. The RX has cost no more to maintain than our IS over our 6 years of ownership, it does better MPG and also in pretty sure it’s faster in everyday use than the majority of the current Lexus line up. We also had no issues with parking.
  17. Welcome to the club. Looks like it’s @V8ORBUSTs old car?
  18. The fuel pump was changed yesterday and the nose has now disappeared. All covered under the extended warranty. Again great service by Raj and his team at Bristol Lexus. On a side note, I had the opportunity to run around on a few loan cars over the past few weeks whilst our cars were at the dealer. I’m not comparing these cars to our F, as that is not a fair comparison, but below are my thoughts from the short time they were in my procession. 20 Plate NX 300h Appeared to be a base model. Nice car but obviously lacked equipment ( as expected) and was gutless. 20 Plate ES 300h F Sport. Good car if I was doing a lot of motorway miles but felt like a boat and whilst the interior looked nice, it was too plasticky for my liking. A real downgrade to the 4GS range in that respect. 20 Plate UX250h F Sport. This was a real surprise in that I really enjoyed driving it. Very nibble and surprisingly nippy. Way too small for us but a good car. I was impressed with the smoothness and how quiet the eCVT was when on fully throttle on the UX and ES.
  19. Both front facing sensors have been replaced by Lexus Bristol under warranty, which has resolved the problem. Great service as usual.
  20. The Auto locking could only be enabled on the ‘08 cars and onwards. Interestingly Lexus removed this feature again around the ‘14-‘15 year on cars such as the RX and GS. To my knowledge, there is no easy way of enabling the auto locking feature on pre ‘08 2IS models. The sunglasses holder was not available on the UK 2IS, as this is where the GPS is situated. TPMS was never fitted on the UK 2IS.
  21. Apart from it making a noise when the car is started, you don’t notice it from the drivers seat.
  22. I have the front Lexus Nextbase cam fitted to our GSF. The rear camera could not be fitted due to the rear blind being in the way. No issues with it at all.
  23. Ah OK, I see what you mean now.
