  1. Yes it is a standard 3.5mm socket. It will play through a phone.
  2. All very subjective. In my opinion both the IS F and GS F are good looking cars, but if you are going to state that the GS F looks like a standard GS, then it does so as much as the IS F looks like a standard IS. As a family car the GS F made more sense for me compared to the IS F, as it had more space for the kids and everything that accompanies them. I came from an IS250 and that was far too small. I think the IS interior has aged well but in my opinion the GS F has a more modern interior, nicer seats, nicer materials and a better fit and finish. When this thread started, GSFs were selling are lot quicker than IS Fs and RC Fs. Things look to have slowed down now but GS Fs at dealers still seem to sell in good time. Each to their own and whilst not everyone will agree on which one is best, all three are fantastic cars and a dying breed.
  3. No sorry to add with the confusion. This is a Genesis not a Lexus. I don’t think Lexus have any offers regarding charging.
  4. Our Genesis GV70 comes with a 5 year subscription to IONITY, which give the discounted rate.
  5. The Geo Fencing Device just sends you an email if you haven’t disabled it. It doesn’t contact Tracker. It has been fitted so that you are alerted when the car moved and then you can call up Tracker to alert them of the Theft. They will then activate the tracker on the car. The Tracker has no way of alerting you in this instance. The Tracker is a one time use device so will need to be replaced if the car is recovered. You cannot renew the subscription after 3 years on this device, as a new Tracker will need to be fitted. Despite what the T&Cs state, there is an owner transfer form with the emailed Tracker paper work, so it is possible that a new owner can still use the device, if it is still with it’s 3 year lifespan. I think the combination of this ‘disposable’ S7 Tracker Retrieve and Geo Fencing device is a cheaper option than an all in one S5 device. It’s also battery operated so no possible issues with battery draining in the Future. These devices have made absolutely no difference to my insurance premium. Not ideal but I guess acceptable as a free option.
  6. I would call the dealership and get them to register it ( once they have confirmed that they have fitted the Geo Fencing device) . You should receive an email with in a couple of hours.
  7. Did you have the Geo Fencing ODB device fitted also? The Tracker on its own is an S7 device, which does not allow you to track the car via the Tracker App. The Geo Fencing device does but it needs to be registered by the dealership. You will then receive an email with the token you need to use the app. I had both fitted but the dealer only registered the S7 Tracker, so I went back and they registered the Geo Fencing device shortly after.
  8. It looks like it doesn’t have the rear fog light in the rear cluster. Maybe you could just swap the inner section of the rear light for a UK one
  9. Jealous of the rear seat controls and heated steering wheel! I don’t think I’ve seen an imported GSF before. Could this be the first one ? Looks like it’s missing the carbon interior trim also, which is probably a good thing !
  10. I can’t answer your question about multiple fast charging but I would keep your Ioniq 5 if you are concerned about fast charging in general. The Hyundai EV architecture is at least a generation ahead of the one the Lexus RZ uses. As such, the Ioniq 5 is a better EV, despite the RZ being a more luxurious car.
  11. Yes all went well. No issues to report.
  12. All booked in for this Friday. Thank you @Duggie B for the heads up
  13. Interesting. I’ll call Bristol Lexus tomorrow to see if I can make the booking.
  14. How odd. I don’t think there were any further options than the ML regarding the sound system.
  15. I think it was an option on the 3IS F Sport at one point before the 2017 facelift.
  16. 2017 , 2018, 2019 appears to be the sweet spot regarding AVS and the lower tax but there are not many around at all. The majority of the 65-70 GS Fs are 2016 models. There are a handful of ‘66’ plate cars with AVS as they were produced from the December ‘16 update BUT you need a car registered from April ‘17 to benefit from the lower VED.
  17. I think it was a £1000 option but it was extremely rare for it not to be added to the GS F.
  18. It’s most common on both dashboard trims and centre console around the gear selector. The front is probably due to stone chips. It’s also happened to my rear spoiler and front door cards. As much as Lexus claims it’s an isolated case, it’s well documented and I imagine it will happen to all GS Fs at some point. One of the last UK GS Fs on a 19 plate appeared on AT earlier this year IIRC and the photos showed that the dash carbon was delaminating.
  19. I wouldn’t be too disappointed, I think you have dodged a bullet not buying the RZ. The RX500h looks like a much better prospect.
  20. I have had the one in the front bumper of our GS F stripped back, re lacquered and then PPF by a bodyshop and Topaz Detailing.
  21. Our GSF smells of leather, especially when left in the sun. So did our old IS250 SE-L. Our RX 450 F Sport with the lower grade leather didn’t.
  22. We currently have a Lexus GS F and have been with Lexus for over 14 years. We also have a Genesis Electrified GV70. The customer service from Genesis was initially fantastic and the personal assistant scheme worked extremely well for us when it was around. Unfortunately this has now been shelved and the Genesis customer service team are horrendous. A really shame as the car is absolutely fantastic and unfortunately better than anything EV related that Lexus currently offers. Lexus customer service is on a whole the best on the market. Congratulations on your RX OP. We had one for 8 years and it was a great car.
  23. That’s great news Parthiban, customer service aside, I don’t think you will be disappointed. It’s no sports car but drives well for an SUV and leaves our GS F off the line when the boost button is pressed, which never gets old, much to my wife’s dismay 🤦🏽‍♂️😂.
  24. I agree with this, range anxiety with EVs is a none issue for most people’s daily journeys. I would be worried though during the 5% of the time that you did need to charge during a trip, as the RZ charging speed and curve is poor, especially when compared to the Tesla. The reason the RZ is so cheap is because they are not selling and Lexus needs to shift the stock. They are just uncompetitive as an EV compared to the rivals. However if you are able to accept its shortfalls then you would have picked yourself up a bargain. However the Rz is a hard sell even to long term Lexus enthusiasts like myself. Customer service should be extremely good though 👍🏾.
