slightly off topic. chuck norris had a switch just like that fitted to his supercharged ford bronco in Lone Wolf McQuade which he used to power out of being buried alive. after a beer of course.
that is my favourite scene of any movie, EVER!!!!
actually, didn't mad max have a similar set up. with a lever he pulled, presumibly to engage/disengage the clutch?

i don't have an IS200, i have an RS200z, and the biggest thing i don't like about it:
people confuse it for an IS200.
haha!!!

can you not claim accidents like this from the local council? i'm pretty sure you can here in nz...

Hi all,a mate has offered me A13XBN which is on retention and i wondered if anyone knows the fees to put it on my is200 .
sorry dude, don't get what the plate is trying to say.....

blue smoke?
burning oil?
piston rings? valve stem seals?
odd on the 1-GFE tho.....
-
some floating L's would look cool, ( like Benltey)

could be way off on this but....
in the boot, front left corner, there is a flap you can lift up on the false floor. (where the jack is)
if you take the jack out and look right in the hole, there is a plastic flap (vent?).
when i installed my sub, it rattled like a mo' fo'. i could hear it outside and initially thought it was my number plate rattling. then i thought it was the boot opening mechanism. but a little more investigating LED me to this.
solution: just stuffed some kitchen roll in it :P
btw,
'nearside'? that's the left(passengers) ay?

fake tail pipes? on a 50k car?
and you don't expect a bit of rubbishing?
c'mon......
They're not fake, only the chrome tips are not connected, but this is on the same on a £200k lambo but no one complains about that do they
actually, i have the same gripe with lambo too. :)
i would hate to think that on a cold day or when i have just started my car up, and am stuck in traffic, that only 2 of the 4 exhaust trims were smoking....
and someone like me might come along and laugh and point at them!!!

still to try the roundabouts , was a master in my old E36.the only concen with this toy is the girlfriend . shes still young a mere 25 and its her first RWD .........i am scared for the winter
true. i got my missus to have a blast in a wet, empty car park one day, just so she could see how far she could push it before the tail went out, and also now she knows what will happen, there will be less panic (well thats the theory)
they are so easy to step out in the rain tho :D
we had a 4 wheel drive turbo before this car and that thing was even more fun on wet round abouts!!!!!

5 or 6 dvd boxes squeezed in the centre console cubby hole on their ends work ok too....(damn, thats ghetto...)

i'm assuming the boot is big enough for a baby?
and the back seat is big enough for a folded buggy?
whats the problem again.....?

On my IS, the jack rattles about in its bracket and doesnt seem to be tied down with anything. I'm guessing there's sposed to be a threaded rod or something to bolt it down. What part am I missing?
can you not just open it up a bit to hold it in place?
Haha, is it really that simple?
'fraid so.....

hi everybody, i was just wondering who the young owners are insured with, im 17 and have a 2.0 03 honda accord.
the insurance is £1500
however changing that to a IS200 goes to around £7000? not sure why thers such a difference in to 2.0l cars
at 17 you should be driving crappy old fiat pandas or mk2 fiestas, not lexus!!
(phew, the green monster got let out its cage for a brief moment!!)
well at 17 if you can afford it then why not.
only cos at 17 you're almost guarenteed to smach your car up!
yes but if you drive carefully then your fine.
dude, dont get me wrong, but you give a RWD car to a 17 year old, first rainy day he gets, he's gonna boot it round a roundabout or a corner, over-do it and eventually prang it on some lamp post. its in a young guys nature!! the insurance brokers have done their research, found out that rwd cars driven by youngsters inevitebly end up this way, and as a result, upped their premiums.

the first day we got our new car, the missus tried turning around in the road in one swoop. the first kerb she came to she hit with the wheel and marked it. (i felt it grinding) so i calmly said that "we" (i.e. YOU!!) had to be a bit more careful with the wheels as they werent just hub caps anymore, like our previous car, she just said 'yeah, yeah, they've got to be able to take some abuse', i let that one go, but as the car was was now beginning to face the other direction she hit the other kerb on the other side of the road, creating an even bigger mark around the edge of the wheel.
We have never spoken about this....
-
This is a pretty risky option so you need to be very very careful where and how you try it. But you could always try going along somewhere on the straight and then turning the engine off and hearing if there is any difference in sound (e.g. if it is the transmission/suspension then the sound will be there, if it's the engine then it won't be).
As I'm sure you know if you turn the engine off then this will drastically alter things like the steering and braking since you will lose power assistance, so it is not something to try when there are any sort of hazards (e.g. other traffic !) around.
haha!! dont take the key out either, like my mate did (steering lock.....)

ah yes, that well known program "Hak se wui yi wo wai kwai" (WTF!!??)
