yeah, ive had my PS2 for years and never had an issue - obviously someone whos never owned one ;)
-
and incase you havent heard, BBC is planning on having a 'watch again' video streaming available for it... its currently trialling
-
Distance between the two stars is about 1-2 miles - and its a 60 road all the way.
As for postcode, SN14 0BJ
The aim is to meet in McDonalds car park - but if it gets too full (with others having the same idea) - the sainsburys car park near there will do..
-
So...... as I'm coming from swindon I would be doubling back on myself if I was to meet at MacD's???
well - for all of about 1/2 mile... so not really...

See Here for more info. Snippets include:
"Out of the box, the PS3 will have the capability to support seven Bluetooth controllers, which can be used for nearly 24 hours before they require charging"
"Polyphony Digital trotted out a fifth Gran Turismo, SCEE showed off the next Killzone, and Rockstar Games showed a new Western title"
"The PlayStation 3 will also sport some hefty multimedia features, such as video chat, Internet access, digital photo viewing, and digital audio and video"
it'll be ready in a years time

yep - what is says on the tin!

Good find Barrie...
Out of all the colours, I think i like the black the best... I'm not a fan of light colours.
I'm still not sure though..
-
no.
There is a safeway over the road (now morrisions)
-
well, if you think it would be better - it could be arranged from the Little Chef.. they are both about 15-25 mins from the circuit...
-
I've quickly made a map of possible meet areas before the circuit, incase anyone is interested...
The m4 arrow, is from Junction 17 M4 - you just take the Chippenham/Castle Combe exit and follow in down, the roundabout shown is the first you come to.
From the south - if your coming from Poole/Warminster - you'll be coming up the A350, as shown...
Two possible meet places are shown as stars - one is next to the hotel Jiber is staying at - that is next to a pub, and just up from the little chef/esso garage - fed off the roundabout.
The other is to the south - a McDonalds/Sainsburys..
Or we could just meet at the circuit about 8am... probably easier...
Okay - we've planned a mini-meet beforehand at the McDonalds - about 7:30am - leaving around that time - so if you want breakfast, aim to get there a little earlier.
-
might sound funny, but have you considered a beagle? cute and small, plus quite docile...
And with the hunting ban - if you drive into the countryside, find some country store (that tends to serve famers etc) you'll probably find adverts in there...
just a suggestion...
-
which ones that?
-
Ahmed - its easy - just get on the M4 (thats off the M25) and follow the Brown signs marked 'Castle Combe racing circuit'
-
fine....
I wont try and help then!
:P

You mean the mighty reds from California.
Im not keen on either of them but i s'pose coming from london it wil have to be Arsenal.
The newly renamed - Man-Chester Red Sox?
-
as you will see, ive added the poll, im totally un-biased
You mean the 'now owned by an american businessman who is about to take the company off the FTSE to trade his debt for buying 75% of the shares into the company and cover the expense by selling players and replacing the board'
-
just a quick Q Mat...
The 3s-GE was designed to be fitted transvere in the celica - will this not create an issue if you install it longitudely?
-
Sounds like you prefer the celica route ;)
i have just seen the addtions on the histories..
if you think you can sort the 3S-GTE compatibility issues, from that info (and what you mention above) then perhaps it would be the better engine...
I still personally think a N/A would be easier to control for drifting - but what do I know!
-
my opinion (for what its worth)..
All comes down to what your trying to achieve... the Tezza engine wont go much above 300bhp - but I've heard there are 3S-GTE's running near 600.. but then, this isnt going to be a high power project is it?
But, since this is for the drift car - surely you want a smooth power curve, and although you need power - i would personally say a N/A is preffered over a turbo for drifting, as you have more control.. and it will be easier to balance on the throttle..
Plus, ease of fitment etc - i think for drifting 3S-GE is the way to go..
just my 2p..
-
by my maths, that makes:
470 bhp
and
414 lb/ft Torque
-
nice :D

2. i'm looking at the higher mileage cars, as they are far less costly to buy. i have however noticed that the bonnets of the higher mileage cars are quite heavily chipped n scratched, so it may require a bit of TLC to the bodywork. as for the mechanics... it's a lexus :winky: !
My car has 44K and spent most of its life in a garage and has a pepperpot bonnet - any car that has done high mileage is going to have this problem..
-
Mark - to me that looks like 360lb-ft of torque? Is that about right?
-
I dont think the manual/auto argument is any more complex than what you prefer. I've heard people say the auto is sluggish compared to the manual, but if your driving around London a lot, your left leg would probably appreciate the auto box.
As long as the car has been regularly serviced, and not thrashed, it should be reliable.
Servicing varies, i would set aside about £250+ every 10k
The sport has everything the SE has, plus a LSD and a few 'crome' trimmings...
