  1. There's plenty of room to get the arm out, it's just the bolts that are playing up. I've found that 1 bolt comes out no problem, but for the other one I've used a set of spring compressors to get it out.
  2. It can be done without removing anything. It's just a bit fiddly to get the UCA bolts out.
  3. Obviously he must be referring to the Ls430 as the 'original' one :D
  4. The whole idea behind the WD series is to tackle repairs yourself. How often do you see Edd mention "A garage would charge £££ for this) You just need to look at Edd as him being yourself doing the repairs, hence no labour costs.
  5. '89, '90, '91 and '92 is mk1. '93 and '94 is mk2 and yes, a '91 will have the checkered grill
  6. Indeed I have. A brilliant way of keeping your vegetables cool on a warm and sticky day :)
  7. You are correct Paul. I found this: Lexus LS400 (Wheeler Dealers Series 4 - 2006) Considered a luxury car upon it's conception in the early nineties, the Lexus LS400 is a big Japanese barge with a presence to be reckoned with. Work completedHeadlamps upgraded to HID, front suspension wishbones replaced, air conditioner LCD replaced, rear bumper repainted, alloy wheels and tires upgraded to Lexus IS 17" units, side indicator housings swapped with clear lenses with orange bulbs, Bluetooth hands-free phone kit added to stereo. Where is it now? After some extensive Googling I couldn't find any information at all regarding the fate of the Lexus and it's owner 'Tac'. We did find a quote from a forum user from 2011 that might be worth mentioning though: Ed China lives up the road from me. He has had the Lexus that sold on that show for a long time in his drive (although I have not driven past for a while). Interesting. Does that mean Edd kept the Lexus for himself? What we do know is that it hasn't been on the road since 2011 according to the DVLA report. 8. Am I the only one not entirely sure how to take this post? :D
  9. That's a good price for a 430. I don't think I'd let my mk1 go for that money :)
  10. www.toyodiy.com is quite useful
  11. I have Dunlop runflat on my '99 Celsior. No soft sidewall there :) and they grip superb
  12. Would be nice to fit DRLs in place of the bumper indicators.............
  13. I did exchange a few emails with him. Sent him another one this morning to ask if it was sold, but no reply yet
  14. The ad has been deleted. I wonder if it sold.......... If it did, and for that price, it would be good for the whole Ls400 range I reckon.
  15. I don't think there is a separate fuse for just the memory operation. Might be an idea to have a look at the memory switches in the door and see if they need cleaned. You can then also check for voltage
  16. ooh ITBs - not only howl, drink a lot more too :)
  17. He has been reading comments here, so I'm sure he's aware now :) I'm about 90 minutes from Edinburgh
  18. Got a reply. He is having pictures taken shortly. Having exchanged a few emails with Raymund (the seller) he truly sounds like a nice, straight forward guy. And without any doubt his car will be as he describes it. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. Might be tempted to go see it in the flesh :) (not buy!! 2 is enough) After all - it's not often you come across an ultra low mileage, pristine example.
  19. My clunk was gone when I replaced both front UCAs
  20. Treated the Celsior to he first LPG fill-up - 49p/L !! Can't complain at that. Last time I went for LPG it was nearly 70p
  21. Good idea. I will add it to my boot supplies :) Even now, two weeks later, no 'click click' Still fires up at the first turn :)
  22. I would also check the caliper bolts. If they are not really tight it can cause similar issues. And grease up the slider pins. If they are sticky you get a bad judder as well.
  23. To save anyone from messaging the seller. last cam belt change was done in 2008 @ 23000 miles
  24. "Without sounding rude, the price is not up for negotiation" I wouldn't even start to negotiate with a ridiculous price like that!
