    As far as I know the compressor clutch won't engage when there is no refrigerant/pressure in the system. A quick way to test for pressure is to find the low pressure side fill port and use a nail, or any other thin object, to press on the little pin. If you hear a hiss you still have pressure. If nothing escapes 99% certain you have a leak

    I have also read that the rear pipe seem to leak quite often. Some opt to blank off the rear a/c instead of fitting new pipes

    Yeah a bit of water won't hurt. I don't think we'll be hitting -15 degrees anymore :)

    Is this cold or hot? If it's cold it won't hurt to add some water up to the min/cold level

    Does anyone know where I can buy a door check pin? It went missing and is now held in place with a bolt. Not ideal as it's noisy when opening and closing the door

    Interior isn't quite standard, well the dash isn't I fitted a double din app unit and had to buy a climate control unit from Japan as the Celsior nav unit wasn't working. Then fitted a new amp to run the sub in the parcel shelf. The original sub didn't sound too well with the new amp so I fitted a Kicker Comp sub instead :)

    After about a year I've got my Celsior back. It stayed local and I told the guy who bought it last year to give me a shout when he wanted to sell again. That 'shout' came today :) I spent a lot of cash and hours on this car and really happy to have it back.

    Solved. I'm very ashamed to be typing this, but the battery charger / booster was hooked up the wrong way and I never checked. My neighbour has a professional charger / booster and hooked it up the wrong way. There is a thick red wire going from the VVTi actuator to the negative side of the battery so this was confusing. Even with the battery charger disconnected, the fuses would still blow. Turned out the battery had taken a reverse charge. Fitted a new battery and replaced all blown fuses (7 in engine bay incl the 120amp alternator fuse and 6 under dash) It is working all fine now

    I really wonder why it is blowing 4 fuses at the same time from just the battery going flat. It was running perfectly with no electrical issues whatsoever. Makes no sense to me at all............

    I really hope someone can help me here. 1998 Ls400 battery went dead over night. rear passenger door not closed fully so interior light must have stayed on. Connected a fully charged battery and now it keeps blowing fuse ECU-B, Radio NO1, CRT and ETCS. Has to be a short somewhere I reckon.....

    Has anyone had any experience with adjusting or fixing the parking brake on a MKIV? Mine appears to not work at all and with MOT coming up end of next month it would be nice to have it working again.

    I am not sure it's smoke silver. It's difficult to determine what kind of silver it is. It certainly has a hint of something lol. I'll see if I can get a picture that shows the colour well enough

    I've done a headlight clean on my BMW 530d a few months ago and went the labour intensive way. Started with 400 wet n dry and working my way up to 2500. Then machine polish with a light compound, then hyper polish and finished off with Autoglym Super Resin Polish as this has a UV block. Only cost me electricity as had everything in 'stock' :) Results were pretty awesome really (forgot to take a 'pre' picture of driver's side headlight, but it was slightly worse than the passenger side shown)

    This picture is taken by Eric Lafforgue a French photographer who is now banned from North Korea for taking 'illegal' photos. At first glance I thought it was an Ls400, but I now lean more towards a Crown Majesta
