Not a single dent or scratch
Not a great fan of the wheels, but they will get changed for Lexus ones soon.
This road noise experience isn't limited to one Ls. It's pretty much every one I have owned. I'm not saying it's really loud, just more noise than expected. It could be just me though. Maybe it's because other cars have a more noisy engine that drones out tyre noise :)
Even though the engine noise is pretty much zero while driving, I have always found the road noise on the Ls lets it down a bit. There's more road/tyre noise than other executive cars like BMW or Mercedes. Maybe I have always owned one with the wrong tyres fitted :)
lol I'm not all that different. I always do the dash (the black bits) with Armorall Dash protectant and then finish the wood bits with Autoglym Super resin Polish to get a mirror shine :)
The fact that the EML has come on so short after purchase is a little suspicious.
I wouldn't put it past him to have cleared all error codes prior to you or anyone coming to view.
I've had the EML and VSC error warning lights on on a MKIV due to a faulty oil control valve - when I cleared the error codes the lights would stay off for a few days - sometimes longer if not used much.
I have bought many road legal plates from Ebay and not 1 has ever asked for any form of ID. The most recent Ebay plate purchase was December last year.
I bought a pair of aluminium pressed plates. Much nicer and they don't fade or crack.
Audi R8? *drool* Obviously you have more cash to burn than I do :)
RC-f - is that the one Jeremy Clarkson drove a few weeks ago?
LF-A Maybe? :)
I think if I had the money to spend on an Audi R8, I would also look at a Camaro or Corvette as a toy.
I don't recommend going the BMW route. I've just sold a 56 plate BMW 730D - Not very reliable and you can't even change the battery without a visit to the BMW dealer to have it coded in ...
Up for sale? Really? And that after being so happy to have her back yesterday. Surely 1 bad experience with Lexus can be rectified?
What will you get next?
The third member indeed. First he felt it necessary to start with Ambermarine out of the blue. Then he called me a fool and now its Jon !
In my opinion the forum would be a better place without mr Bilmac so, by all means, feel free to leave!!
What a stunning car. Enjoy her with this weather. Well....not sure what the weather is like up north where you are, but here at Loch Lomond it's beautiful :)
