    You thinking of a wrap of the whole roof or just the sunroof? I am thinking of fitting a mirror window tint to the inside of the glass sunroof. This should hopefully bounce off some sunlight

I could not bring myself to risk the funds when for similar money the problem could be solved, & one would have something to show for the expense ......... dammit, where are they? This is not good enough!     There's a gold (beige) Ls400 driving around my area. I do usually spot several Ls400's in my village as we nearly have a million visitors a year.

    It does, but someone else is enjoying that :) I got so annoyed with the Mark Levinson stereo in there that I got rid. Wasn't prepared to pay several 100's of £ for a new ML amp. I bought the 430 for £2300 and ended up swapping it for a Nissan Skyline R33 2.5 Turbo with 350Bhp. Never intended to keep the Skyline so put it up for sale straight away. Sold for £3500 so all good :)

    A/C fixed - Just topped it up with a can from Halfrauds and voila - ICE cold air :) I did have to replace a brake light bulb! How dare they fail after only 25 years of service!!!

    The S320 is a 1999, but has gone. Unfortunately no midge defence system installed. Then again, the midges here are Rambo midges and the only thing that seems to help is spray yourself in with Avon Skin so soft oil in a way that it drips off you so the midges that land on you, drown :)

    he hasn't owned it very long. From July last year. The owner before him was his colleague who had owned it for 15 years

    Malc, Believe it or not, we do get warm weather - sometimes :) We also get a LOT of rain and damp weather. A/C is also great to quickly remove any condensation on the windows. Plus.....I prefer a car where everything works :)

    funny you say that. My blower in the highest setting makes quite a noise and also vibrates.

    It does have the tool kit, but the a/c does not work :( Being a 1991 it is most likely to have the R12 system, however the High and Low side fittings are R134A. There's a sticker in the engine bay saying it has been filled with RS-24 (an R12 drop in replacement) and dye was added. There is no date on the sticker though.

    Yes it was advertised on Gumtree. Bad pictures and a 1 sentence description. I agree Malc. A Ls400 in this condition is worth £1500 all day. Especially an early one I reckon.

    I was very surprised. I mean it did look good in the pics he sent me, but usually pics make it look better than it actually is. Not in this case :)

    The seller was a very nice chap. I took my 12yo daughter along with me from Loch Lomond to Edinburgh by train! Last time I was in a train must have been about 25 years ago :) He picked us up from Edinburgh station. He bought the Ls because his own car was getting repaired and he needed something to do the daily commute, but he wasn't that impressed with the Ls' mpg. No problem chap, I'll gladly take it off your hands :)

    It's actually a very nice drive. I think I prefer it over the 430 Haha Malc. £25? Not quite :)
