  1. Hi

How many speakers does an SE Navigator have as standard. I've just read the spec sheet for the IS200 and it says the SE has an 8 speaker system (as apposed to the 6 speaker system in the S).

Presumably the SE Navigator also has an 8 speaker system, but where should they be?

It might sound like a stupid question but I'm sure mine only has 6 speakers?

    Cheers

  2. Correct.. it's for the supercharger....

My thought was that perhaps I could chop it back a little to give more of a 90 degree bend and then run the induction tubes across the engine in the way you have. I thought it might give a neater link with the throttle body that's all...

Is it not wortht he hassle....?

  3. Hi all,

Last night when I left the motorway on my way home the car seemed to be dragging (slowing up quickly) when i dipped the clutch to change gear. My first thought was a flat or soft tyre but the ride seemes fine? My second thought was to this forum and the regular topic of sticky calipers.

When I got home, 5 mins from the morotway I could smell brakes when I got out of the car. Putting my hand close to each wheel to judge the temperature it was clear the rear drivers side was much much hotter than all the other wheels.

I left the car to cool while I got on the net to do a bit more research.

This morning I though I would see what happened. Parked up at the end of my journey and everything seemed fine, no smell and I could even touch the disc (warm but I could touch it never the less.).

Does anybody have any ideas? Do people think a quick clean and lubricate would help or is something more drastic required?

    Cheers

  4. No, my car has had a vibration from the rear (i.e. not affertinc the steering/steering wheel) at about 78mph (I noticed this on a private road of course) and I'm trying to think of possible causes.

A buckled wheel may be a long shot though as the vibration is more noticible when lifting off the throttle and there is also a vibration under braking - all from the rear.

I've had a feel of the calipers/wheels after along run and none seem particularly hot... could a warped disc cause a vibration when i'm not braking...?

  5. Obviously the traction control on my is200 has seen quite a bit of action over the past few days, but there are a couple of things i've noticed:

    1. When going up hills on ice, the dash light flashes and there is a wierd noise (there's no other way of describing it) from the rear of the car.

    2. The traction control doesn't stop the wheels from spinning - going up hills on ice the wheels will continue to spin despite the flashing and noise described above..

Are the above normal or have I got something to worry about/get checked out...?

    Thanks

    Adam
