any idea why me speedo needle would be moving in jolts rather than smooth, only noticed today but its bad, it goes up in almost 10's so its says 30 but i could be going 39, then all of a sudden it jumps to 40? please help

if i remember right from when the grom was first found, i dont think it works with bottom loaders. check in the audio section and there is a sticky on the grom, sure it tells u in there

its a good price, im sure you'll get it for it, too much for me, i just wanted one to play with to see if i could figure it out for myself lol

i had mine plugged into the main charging connection of the ipod and the quality was fantastic, just like cd, plus if you do that you can control the ipod using the original stereo buttons

out of curiosity, how much u want for it?

once you have got someone to to devise a circuit to make the motor go up and down using the existing buttons, wiring it to the power is easy, you take off the top tray, take out the glove compartment, remove the cd and air con controls, and lift up the centre console, feed the wires into the hole were the tray used to be, to the left so hey come out the hole in the glove box, then feed back through to the back of the stereo and under to the centr console, then just solder or crimp the two wires to the cig lighter, easy lol

id have to say mate, if you can hold out, do it, wait for the cash. i just brought my second lex, same spec as yours, with 12 months tax, nov mot, already modded tastefully and in mint condition for 3400. its a buyers market, you could get so much car for 4250. On auto trader there is a silver sport navigator, 54 plate, 63k, cam belt changed, looks brand new, he wants 5k for it, i got him down to 4200! i was so close but then had a moment of sense and realised i should really save the cash as i have a baby due in 7 weeks! seriously mate, wait for the cash and you will get a 5k car for the 4250 you have got, either that or your gonna buy a 3k car for 4250 from a a garage. just my opinion :)

its not as easy as just connecting the right ones im afraid, there are people that have hollowed the unit out, put an aftermarket sat nav in and the wired it so the "open/close" button opens the lid and the "tilt" button closes it, i had on, it was great, and you had to wire it in to an ignition controlled power supply like the cig lighter. easy to install but not a clue how to make. they come up every now and again, paid and sold mine for £290

well i agree, i would do a good price for members if interested, i'll advertise them on here before they go on ebay, i know when i had my S i was desperate for some better wheels so maybe there will be a member here that could do with a set

im glad you asked as i was thinking the same, i had a 2001 lexus S last year and it clicked, i now have a 2001 SE and no clicking? not really a problem but i find i keep checking to make sure there on

hey all, with the car i've just brought it has non standard 17's on that i love but he has also given me the 5 standard 17's 5 spoke SE wheels too, now these wheels are in good nick, not perfect but def not in need of any refurbs or anything, how much you reckon i could sell a set of 5 for?

removing the original dash tray is easy, just put a knife or screwdriver in the gap (where it meets the air con controls) and prize it off, it just clips in. as for wiring a sat nav in, id say you have two hopes there, bob hope and no hope!

definately, i think the interior on ours is very dated, MPG doesn't bother me too much but i would love a modern looking console

looks mint to be fair, and a lot of the mods i would of done are already there, always a bonus! just wanna get in the drivers seat now!

well im buying it off someone off here, its sheeldzy's (sheeldzy if you read this im in no way moaning so please dont take offence) the car is in great nick with not a huge amount of miles. i didnt know it had been charged until i read it on a post on here and just worried me, didnt know it affects the car in anyway, like kam said, i dont wanna end up with a thrashed one
