Ok, after weeks of theory and mentoring by you guys, I have finally bought what it seems to be a Double-Din DVD, Sat Nav & some other bits (it is made by Kenwood). So thank you for your advice.

Now the bigger question is, how to install this multimedia monster as I am a completely illiterate when it comes to things like these so is there any place in London (West London preferably) where they'd install it and make it work as it should under normal circumstances?

Plus, I can't find the thread regarding clear door lights; however I remember some one saying that he would do it, could you please contact me as I am interested in buying those hand-made clear frames for IS200.

Must mention that you guys are genius and have answer (s) to every question in the book. So thanks a lot for your kind information, suggestions & advice that you had given me.

however, I'd think of an alternative and say between £250-350. Do you think I can get a Double-Din with DVD/TV & SatNav or am I being naive and simply should forget the dream of upgrading my IS200?

If I buy a simple Double DIN DVD/TV (without the SatNav) is it possible to connect the standard GPS (that comes with Lexus) to my new screen or am I pushing my luck a bit too far? :P

Thanks matey, I'll probably save some extras and buy from US as they seem cheaper (due to the currency exchnge). But my question is tht if a 7" double-din would fit in IS200? Has anybody done it? If so, did you have to modify the dashboard or did it go perfectly fine? Plus any photo would be apprecited..

I am looking to buy the LED door markers. Is there any place I can get them from? I tried them on eBay but no luck.

Plus, sometimes when I open the left door (front), the marker light doesn't come on and nor does the interior light. what could be the probem?

I am thinking of buying this item that I just found on eBay. Please let me know if it's a good choice, plus it says that it has "GPS-Input for Sat Nav Connectivity" could someone calrify this for me please (whether it comes with SAT NAV or is it just competible to recieve GPS signals) I hope I do make sense.

I couldn't find any thread regarding my problem so thought I'd just ask and hope for the best.

Well, the problem is that my IS200 CD player doesn't "load" or "eject" the CDs. Currently it is holding three of my music CDs but refuses to eject any when requested. After a bit of thinking it says "Error".

Any idea what could be the reason and solution?

I think anything over 8000K is asking for trouble, to be honest. Any higher than 8000K can only be a police vehicle. Just keep those 8000K or wait for some blue lights flashing with a siren behind you (the choice is yours)

It may sound bizarre but do you ever wave your hand, flash your headlights or stop to give way to another Lexus (regardless what model)? Or do you just treat them like another car on the road?

I personally have noticed that most IS200 owners do give way to me (if I were waiting at a junction etc) and some of them would even flash their headlights (just to say hi) and that pound smile follows it.

And because of this, I have started to do the same.

Are you one of those drivers?

Anyway, what is the solution? Does anybody know i these lights can be adjust them to make them UK road legal? Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thats what I'd thought but the back of the lamps are longer than the ordinary ones. Therefore the frame had to be cut (behind the headlamps).

I am worried about the MOT but it's almost 6 months away, so let's see how it goes..

As I promised, these are some of the photos I took before & after the modification. It took us almost an entire day to get them fixed. So much cutting and chopping of the frame and fingures too that I thought we'd never get there, but we did.

What do you guys make of this? The only problem I have is because they're for US cars therefore the right light is slightly to the right (since we've left headlight slightly to the left to light up the foot-path). Is there anything that can be done to adjust the angel?

you need to order an hid kit for the projector unit as the is200 doesnt have a ballast to run the hid's.

Thanks mate for your help. I do have HiD lights already fitted in my car so may not have to buy a new pair of Ballast, just want to change the Projectors. And that is what I am worrying about. I'd probably go to a Machanic because I am crap with Maintenance.

I too get a little "shudder" when driving off in 1st (regardless, whether the engine is cold or hot). It is rather discomforting & embarrassing particularly when driving with your senior colleagues...

What could be the reason? Is it common in IS200s or do we need to worry here?

I'd recommend the Slick-50. You will notice your car would become lighter & much smoother to drive.

I am sorry to hear about what had happened and rather shocked that Police won't file a case. My personal advise would be for you to go personally to the local police station of the area and ask them to provide you with the details of the truck involved in the incident (surely there must have been CCTV cameras in the area and he must have been caught entering or exiting that road). Give them the date & time and I am sure they'd help you to track down that terrorist who caused such a distress to all of us here.

I am a new member and a very proud owner of an IS200. I am extremely fussy about the lightings and therefore would go to any extent to give my Lexus the lights she so much deserves. So I have bought the pair of These headlights. Still waiting for them to arrive, so kind of excited. But I am still not sure where to buy HiD/Xenon fog lights. Please help me.
