  1. Jason_l showed me his Scangauge and it seemed to do a lot of stuff, and he really rates it. Edeath has one too, might be worth asking him on it.
  2. Don't forget, depending on the age of your car, you might need some new drop links because they could be seized :winky:
  3. I don't think that's true these days with lithium ion batteries. Batteries do have a set number of full charge/discharge cycles that they can go through, but these are from fully discharged to fully charged. If you're only partly discharging it and then charging again, it can handle more repetitions of that.
  4. I agree with Stav. If you buy a second-hand OEM head unit then you're just throwing good money after bad, IMHO, since it'll almost certainly fail before too long. Why not buy an aftermarket unit, which will at least come with a proper warranty and so forth. It'll probably also contain much better features than the OEM unit.
  5. I was assuming that FiZiX meant they were 70W-equivalent bulbs. Though of course I could be wrong.
  6. Don't forget to check out the C-One ARBs if you're looking around. Although they're a bit more expensive than the Cuscos, they come with new bushes (which the Cuscos don't) and a much stronger mounting to replace the OEM bracket (Prolex sell an uprated bracket from TRD for £269 !). That's what I have on my IS200.
  7. I got mine from FasterFilters, seemed a good price at the time. There are various sites selling them though, and of course eBay.
  8. I was going by what it says in the online manual in the new features section, what I quoted is what it says in there. Maybe Lexus didn't do it for the UK though ?
  9. Yep, if you stick in a K&N filter and then reset the ECU, economy should improve slightly. Mine seemed to, anyway.
  10. Great to hear of the progress, looking forward to the pics ! :D
  11. Oh dear, that does sound like they've made things a lot worse now ! :duh:
  12. I think they did come as standard after the 2001 update on autos, and optional on manual cars.
  13. According to Prolex's website, the filter supplied has now changed to a Trust/Greddy-style foam filter. Isn't this filter from that eBay seller the sort of thing you mean Keith ?
  14. Yep, same thing the ABS uses the speed sensors. Never tried it myself but it looks very easy from the manual, check here for removal instructions for the front sensor, installation is just the reverse of removal. And the rear sensor is pretty much the same method.
  15. Does the Apexi filter fit onto the Prolex induction kit ok ? Did the kit come with an adapter for the filter, or did you have to use your own one (I see the kit in the eBay link comes with a 3" adapter) ?
  16. I believe that the curtain airbags came in with the 2001 update.
  17. TTE in Germany don't make them any more, but might well have some left in stock, so it's worth checking with them.
  18. You can, but I would wrap any electrical parts and anything else you don't want getting wet (e.g. induction kit air filter) in cling film.
  19. I'm sure you'd be able to get one from a breakers, I can't imagine many people are after them.
