  1. Roughly £100 (WIM can give you an exact price). It'll be money well spent :winky:
  2. Nice link :D As well as solving the issue of premature tyre wear, a trip to WIM can also significantly improve the handling of the car.
  3. Blimey that's a whole lot of money just for iPod control ! Better IMHO to just buy a new head unit that does iPod control and a whole lot more besides, e.g. Bluetooth etc.
  4. Ah ok. Well the TTE black box is reputedly not very reliable, so the HKS FCD sounds like a good option. That's all you need to get going. You don't *need* the other ECUs, it's just that they will give you additional options (e.g. mapping).
  5. It's not a silly question at all. I'm sure someone will be able to tell you the right way to do it.
  6. How do you know if your car hasn't been WIM'd ? :winky: You'd be suprised at the difference it makes. Uprated ARBs also make a *huge* difference to the handling.
  7. Yeah but someone was after an under engine cover :winky:
  8. Don't worry, I was going to come anyway, I wasn't going to go on the track. I was really posting for others that did want the track though, e.g. edeath.
  9. There's a guide which might help you here. Also check out this and this.
  10. I think it's highly subjective, just like things like which wheels look "best". If you like it, stick with it !
  11. The big tax hike has been put off for now. Who knows if it will ever get brought it. Given the current economic climate, I can't see it in the near future.
  12. One of the links that Stav posted, this one, had a whole load of stuff about the different ECUs available. Stav seems to have had a lot of success with the GReddy Emanage Ultimate. You'll already be getting the TTE "black box" in the kit that you've bought.
  13. Gozzy, does your car look pretty much the same as that ?
  14. Looking at Japfest's website, it seems that all the track time is sold out for Saturday, apart from a late slot for "advanced" drivers. There's still time available on Friday though. Friday sessions are more expensive but are longer though, £80 for 3 x 20 mins (no entry ticket for the show required).
  15. This is it, isn't it ? (i.e. an LE in Kodiak Sky)
  16. That's kind of what I mean, it depends on what the other guy is saying. If he admits that you were over the roundabout and merging into one lane when the accident happened then the location of the damage might help. But if he's claiming it happened on the roundabout and there's no other evidence to say otherwise then I can't see how you can prove it was down to him.
  17. The trouble is, even if the damage is halfway down your car, in theory it could have been that you came across into his lane in front of him, I don't think the location of the damage really helps here. What you need are witnesses (or the other party admitting it was his fault, or photos), and if you can't get them then I'm not sure you'll get better than a 50/50 claim.
