  1. There are three sensors, and they all have different part numbers.
  2. I feel there's a lot less chance of WW3 starting with Obama in the White House as opposed to Bush !
  3. You will be able to get a replacement from a Lexus/Toyota dealer. Just describe to them what part you need, and they'll get the right part for you. If you join LOC as a Gold member then most dealers will give you a discount on parts.
  4. Thats interesting have you connected a dimmer switch to your dome light? That may be usefull at times I guess... No, sorry, I was referring to when the dome light turns off (e.g. when you've locked the car), and it automatically dims as it turns off.
  5. Proper drying towels should stop you making the marks even worse. Regarding a machine polisher, the dual action polishers like the G220 and Kestrel are supposedly more "friendly" to beginners at machine polishing, much more so than a rotary polisher.
  6. The two bucket method is good. But as lextech said, you need to get rid of the chamois (or just save it for the glass), and get some microfibre drying towels, which will minimise swirl mark creation. You can just drape them over the wet area and pull them towards you, no need to rub them dry. Check out some examples of the kind of thing I mean here. I recommend you get at least two, one for the upper parts of the car, and one for the lower.
  7. ok, it's not black, but for £8750 you could buy Bazza's supercharged IS200, which has had huge amounts of money spent on various other modifications too !
  8. The spring seems to be one of three part numbers - 77360-12080, 77360-33020 or 77360-53010. You will probably need to get a Lexus/Toyota dealer to help you figure out which one is the correct one.
  9. WIM are in Chesham, Bucks. They are experts at setting up geometry on all sorts of cars including the IS200, and have a very sophisticated (and expensive !) machine to help them do this. A full geometry setup there will help avoid premature tyre wear (a common IS200 problem) and will probably greatly improve the handling (e.g. stability, corner turn-in). It'll cost you very roughly £100 and it will be money very very well spent. Checkout their website and details here.
  10. Cool. If you can get the codes and post them up here, then some of the members here will be able to help you work out what the problem is, what parts might be worth replacing, and perhaps where to get those parts from at a good price.
  11. Much cheaper ? Are you sure, when you take into account the current poor exchange rate, shipping charges and duty/VAT ?
  12. i suppose but dont know how to do it unless osme one wants to do it for me Some members on here have done it, so I am sure someone will be able to tell you how to do it.
  13. Might be cheaper to get your own code reader off eBay rather than pay someone to read the codes for you, like this one.
  14. I have the McGard 21156 locking wheel nuts on my 17" OEM alloys (5-spoke). They're great.
  15. I don't know much about LEDs but I guess it's possible it depends on the type of LED used. I've got LEDs in my interior dome light, and they do sort of dim.
  16. Yes, as you say the OEM HIDs on the IS200/300 use a conventional lens and not a projector fitting. I have no idea whether there's any possibility to convert them. I'm guessing there probably wouldn't be a big demand for it though. As Parthiban says, I imagine replacement OEM HID bulbs (or different ones with a "higher" colour temperature) will be pretty expensive. Your OEM HIDS will be about the brightest you can get though, 6000K, 8000K etc are less bright than 4000K.
  17. It's a soldering job, I'm afraid. Not one I've done myself, but there are some other members on here who have. If you are handy at soldering then it should be pretty straightforward.
  18. Welcome. What sort of mpg did you get out of your Prelude for those daily trips ?
  19. Send a PM to Steve and I'm sure he can sort that out for you. Although if it was over a year ago perhaps your membership has lapsed and you need to resubscribe ?
  20. A geo setup from WIM should sort out any issues with uneven tyre wear. When they put your car on the machine it will also show them if anything has got somehow damaged with your suspension, e.g. it having been damaged from a knock on the kerb etc. You'll probably be amazed by how different the car feels with the new settings ! :D
  21. According to the online manual here, it should indeed be 76 lb/ft or 103Nm for the hub nut for the IS200. Can't see why the Altezza would be any different.
