  1. Check out this service sheet from Lexus :
  2. So do the Hotchkis ARBs come with upgraded brackets too ? I didn't know that (or if I did, I've forgotten ! :D). If so, makes them and the C-One ARBs top contenders IMHO.
  3. Remember that it's an engine from one of these that Yeldarb is having put in his IS200 :D
  4. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but WIM will work wonders on your car. Having to really haul your steering back to the straight-ahead doesn't sound right at all. Even if a geometry setup doesn't fix that, WIM's (very expensive !) diagnostic machines will be able to see if there's anything wrong there, e.g. damaged suspension.
  5. Bear in mind that Sky *do* cover mods like-for-like. i.e. if your supercharger was damaged/destroyed in an accident, then they'd pay for a new one ! (assuming the car wasn't written off). With most insurance companies, if your mod is damaged, then even if it's covered by the insurance company, they *won't* pay for a replacement !
  6. Well, I beg to differ very slightly with Mat, in that the OEM ARB brackets look incredibly flimsy. So I would think that some stronger brackets (like the TRD replacements or the ones that come as standard with the C-One ARBs) would help you get the maximum out of an uprated ARB, i.e. it's not the bracket flexing as well. I'd rather pay £400-odd for some C-One ARBs with the stronger brackets, than £350-odd for some different ARBs plus another £200-odd for the brackets. I've got the C-One ARBs and they're ace :D
  7. Yeah, for the Densos, bear in mind you've got a choice between the standard OEM ones (which last longer) and the higher performance IK20s. I've got the latter.
  8. Might be worth checking out the MR2 Owners' Club, I imagine that just like here, members sometimes sell their cars and they'd be good ones.
  9. Umm, we seemed to have jumped back up again by 100 ? Shouldn't it be : 989,851
  10. By the way, my car used to feel very nervous at motorway speeds and needed constant correction. All fixed after a trip to WIM.
  11. Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but have you checked that all your bulbs are firmly inserted into the headlight ? One could be loose and letting in damp air into the headlight.
  12. According to this posting, Carles reckons that it's easy to change that bit on its own.
  13. Have you already got upgraded ARBs ? The brackets seem mega-expensive for what they are. If you haven't already replaced your ARBs, check out the C-One ARBS, which come with strengthened mounting brackets as standard.
  14. No idea if they are still available, but the part numbers are in this posting :winky:
  15. Take it to WIM (Wheels in Motion, in Chesham in Bucks). See their website here. Getting the tracking set by a garage will have used the OEM settings, which seem to be non-optimal (i.e. wrong, basically). A full geometry setup (involving more than you probably had done at your own garage) to the settings worked out by WIM will probably do wonders for the handling of your car, you'll be amazed at the difference !
  16. Yeah I've seen all that before. Who's ever been prosecuted for it though ? MP3-player-to-stereo transmitters used to be illegal too, but no-one got prosecuted for it and they changed the law later to make them legal. Also note the wishy-washy wording about how "in the Department's view" etc, i.e. not saying that it *is* illegal, just that in their view it is (a big difference).
  17. I hadn't realised it was running an Atom processor. That's even more reason to try and make sure you're not running any unnecessary programs. As Parthiban said, Vista is a lot for an Atom to run, I'd have thought you'd be much better off with XP on it if that's an option (I bet if it's not a factory option there will be people who put XP on there anyway). Take off all the Sony garbage that they've put on there, or even better reinstall from scratch and leave that stuff off (as others have suggested), and I'm sure it'll help.
  18. I'm still convinced the early cars were higher, I need to get a pic up but I'm sure my 2002 SE is lower than your 99 Sport......... Mine is an early car though, and edeath is similarly saying it's higher. If mine is lowered from an S/SE at that point, an early S/SE must really look like it's had a big fright !
  19. Hold on, do the amps need to be matched to the head units, e.g. different modes of amps depending on which models of head unit (the five digit number printed on the front) ?
  20. I don't have a charger, but I'm with Sky Insurance (a trader on these forums) and they're great about mods. They also insure them like-for-like (a lot of companies might insure you with mods, but not for the cost of replacing the mod !).
  21. Yeah but that's £500 for coilovers compared to £130 for some springs.
