  1. By the way, I don't really know about the GS300 and am just trying to interpret the parts diagrams and list for myself, so please don't just take my word for it about the part numbers !
  2. I know next to nothing about this, so I could be way off. But since the induction kit is sucking from the throttle body, rather than blowing in from the end of the pipe, surely it doesn't matter if it steps down, since it has to go into the narrower throttle body anyway ?
  3. I think this page shows you the part numbers that you need. The brake master cylinder sub-assembly appears to be one of three part numbers - 47025-30150, 47025-30152 or 47025-30230. This doesn't include the whole brake booster itself. I have no idea what the differences are, they could just be later revisions of the same thing. A Toyota/Lexus dealer should know for sure though.
  4. Stav did a great write-up on some of the choices for these additional add-on units/piggy-back ECUs/stand-alone ECUs here.
  5. Sorry, I thought we were talking about Prolex's upgraded hose kit here, I thought's that what Asi was referring to, i.e. for the coolant, rather than a specific supercharger hose kit ? TDi do an upgraded hose kit for the charger, are we talking at cross purposes here ?
  6. Sounds like good news Mac, fingers crossed that this is the end of it now, and that your story gives some hope to others with dodgy electrics !
  7. That's their problem if they chose not to use recorded mail or courier, i.e. they can't check into what happened to it. If you didn't receive it then they'll have to take your word for it and send you another one. How did you pay ? The method of payment might give you some extra protection too.
  8. WIM are Wheels in Motion, located in Chesham, in Bucks. They are experts in geometry setup, amongst other things. They did a lot of work to investigate and solve premature tyre wear problems on the IS200, see their website for details. A lot of IS200 owners (including myself) have had their car's handling transformed by getting their cars setup to WIM's own developed specifications, as opposed to the (faulty) OEM geometry spec.
  9. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's just for cosmetic reasons really, e.g. colour-coding the engine bay.
  10. Looks like Lewis's apologies about the situation have helped, and the focus is shifting onto the team itself, e.g the following quote from the FIA :
  11. I would talk to Lexus about it, that sort of thing coming up from the inside is surely what the corrosion warranty would cover ? And if it's an aluminium tailgate (is that definitely right ?) that that would make it even worse.
  12. Yeah I was thinking the same, there are loads of people who have upgraded their ICE on their IS200s, but a lot less I think, especially active members, on the GS. Don't know if that's because the GS has a better system or perhaps it's more reliable (the IS200 OEM head unit is notoriously unrealiable so a lot of us get forced to replace it !). Or maybe it's because GS owners don't often look in this particular subforum too often ? Anyway, hope this hasn't put you off the club, you're very welcome, and I'm sure the ICE experts around here would love to hear more about what you've done to your GS's sound system ! :D
  13. It does sound to me to be more likely radio interference or similar, stopping it working in that location, rather than the car somehow forgetting all your keys. How did you get on ?
  14. Sounds great. I'm also booked in with Tony for later next week to get mine done, can't wait ! :D
  15. I use Sainsbury's standard petrol and my car runs perfectly fine on it.
  16. I could be wrong, but I think you can get an electrolytic sort of rust on aluminium caused by a chemical reaction. Not sure if this is what you're getting.
  17. I recommend a whole stainless steel dial set, much better than just having the clock cover on its own ! :D
  18. It's the small half-moon piece shown in the second diagram here. I'm sure Mat will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it slots into the shaft and then engages into the pulley. So if the nut was missing it's possible that the woodruff key has been damaged, and that would perhaps make the pulley not fit properly even with a new nut attached. In one of your pictures, I *think* that you can see the slot in the inside of the pulley, at top-right of the shaft, that the key engages into.
  19. For fitting the door cards, check out the procedure here. For the front seats, see this one. For the back seat, look at this.
  20. Interesting, as suspected from Keith's measurements, later S/SE models look like they were lower than earlier Sport models ! Anyone got an early, non-lowered, S/SE that they can measure ? As you say Parthiban, hopefully I should get a pretty good drop from my current ride height. Yeah it would be the springs that are responsible there.
  21. As well as a new nut, did you check/replace the woodruff key thingy too ?
