  1. "Blu Tack" is a brand of sticky putty-like stuff which is used for things like sticking posters up on walls, and various other household tasks. I imagine you have something similar in Norway, called something different. Check out their website.
  2. This is a Mark I GS, right ? According to this diagram, it's either 86273-50050 or 86273-60040. From the diagrams it looks like there are two different types of CD changer (pre-August 02 and post-August 02), each with a different cassette.
  3. ^^^^ What Rob said. It seems highly likely your windscreen has been replaced at some point and not sealed properly. As you will see from another current thread, unfortunately this seems like a common problem. I can only assume there's something about the design of the screen which makes it tricky to seal properly for the usual windscreen replacement companies. Unless you can find out who replaced it, via the previous owner, then you're probably stuck. Even if you did find out who replaced it, the company might not cooperate with you given the change of ownership. I'm afraid you're probably going to have to pay for someone to take out the windscreen and fit it again properly. You might even want to get a quote from Lexus/Toyota for this, since at least then you'll know they will do it properly.
  4. What might have happened is that the windscreen was replaced some time, and not sealed properly. This is unfortunately a not uncommon problem, and then what happens is water gets in and plays havoc with the electrics. Can you tell if the windscreen isn't the original one, e.g. if it's got a brand name on it ? As Stav says, if you've got a leak then you need to fix that, or you're going to keep having problems like this.
  5. Hmm, the TRC OFF light flashing shouldn't have anything to do with coil packs. That's often down to a problem with a speed sensor at the wheels. It indicates that the TRC is malfunctioning. But it sounds like the running of the engine is going wrong too. As you say it would be great if there was another member nearby who could plug in an OBDII reader for you. Have you had any work done on your car recently which could have been connected with this ?
  6. Sounds great Stav, really looking forward to some pics and finding out what you think of the finished item !
  7. ok, thanks James. I can see what you mean now !
  8. This is the one that some of us have got from the Group Buy.
  9. I agree that having the torque settings in a walkthrough would be great, but they're also available in the online workshop manual, e.g. here.
  10. The TTE ARBs are quite hard to come by, since they have been discontinued. Though you could get lucky and find someone who has got some, or get some second-hand ones. There are still quite a few aftermarket ones that are available though, e.g. I've got the C-One ARBs on mine.
  11. Brilliant, Carles, that clears it up and confirms what I was beginning to suspect. Luckily I've got the right connectors then. Thanks ! :D
  12. Why ? That comes across as kinda negative but surely you don't mean it like that ?
  13. Phoned around a few motor factors and car spares shop, no-one seems to have any. So just ordered some off eBay.
  14. You also think the early ones are the S-type Carles ? That's cool, that would mean I've got the right ones (by luck), yay ! :D
  15. You can always report it to Crimestoppers anonymously if you want. Or just call the police and report it to them yourself. Don't do anything to get yourself into trouble, it's just not worth it. I can understand your feelings though, having had my car vandalised the other day and what I feel I'd like to do if I got my hands on the guilty party :tsktsk: I imagine the police would have a word with him but I can't imagine them doing too much else.
  16. Yeah it's almost certainly that they're connected the wrong way round. Are you talking about the groove/catch on the HID ballast ? If so then yes, force it together the wrong way round. Don't worry, you won't blow anything up. I had to do the same thing on my HID kit.
  17. Those stickers have been discussed before, it's always worth doing a search :winky:
  18. Chosen One, those are only "Lexus" logo ones though, aren't they ? You also need the "L" if you want to do the rear calipers (since there's no room to put on the whole of "Lexus" ? I got my caliper stickers from this eBay seller. I can't see any Lexus ones there right now, but obviously he can easily do them.
  19. Looking at the make-up of the part numbers, Toyota list these brake lines as follows (for the front) : 90947-02A41 - S-type 90947-02C28 - D-type Going on the fact that A comes before C in the alphabet, this *might* mean that the S-type are the earlier ones, and D-type later. This is also consistent with this diagram, which *could* be interpreted as meaning that the S-type is earlier and D-type later. Also, that latter diagram seems to show a line across the nut on the S-type which isn't there on the D-type, so maybe it's possible to tell visually without unscrewing the connector ? My car is an early one, and I've been sent the S-type connector. So I'm hoping that my logic here is correct and I've actually (by luck) got the right fitting !
  20. Do you know if they've got the correct fitting for your car ? And if so, what fitting that is and is your car early or late ?
  21. Looking around on eBay, for all the brake line sets being sold for the IS200, none appear to say there's any dependency on the model year, just that they're suitable for 99 onwards (i.e. all IS200s). However, Prolex's site do say that the month/year needs to be specified, and TRD's own site shows two different part numbers for the Altezza depending on model year. It's clear to me that there are two different types now, just feeling a bit annoyed with the eBay sellers who seem oblivious to this fact !
  22. Theres nothing to do that unfortuantly, Just the high pitch squeeling of the little wear tab scraping the disc. Lol, ah ok, thanks Stav. At that stage there's still a little bit of the brake pad left, isn't there ? The pad hasn't completely gone but the wear tab is warning you that there's not much left ?
  23. The Prolex kit is here. Although you don't get the filter shown in the pic on the website, or the one shown in the pics on this thread, it's a cheaper one. Aztec posted up some stuff about how to make your own induction kit for a lot less over in another thread.
