  1. Yes, I've used it myself, although that was only for the remote locking bit. The bit you're having trouble with is the immobiliser, the car turning over but not firing is because the immobiliser is still enabled. I'm sure there's a way to delete the other keys but not the master, you can't reprogram the master itself. Although I don't think that having the maximum number of keys is likely to be your problem, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to program the remote locking. I would suggest to keep trying in case you're just not quite doing that bit right.
  2. Just to add for this, assuming it gets moved to the Workshop section. Your car will have one of two different types of connectors for the brake lines, and you need to check what you've got or the brake lines may not fit ! See this posting and others in the same thread for a discussion on this subject. It seems that the Goodridge brake lines come with the "D-type" connector, which fits most IS200s. But early cars (up to May 2000) come with the "S-type" connector. I bought some HEL brake lines from eBay which came with the S-type connector. Also to add to this, I bought a "one-man" brake bleeding kit which hopefully means I can do the brake bleeding on my own, one of these from Halfords.
  3. Motsey, whereabouts in Surrey are you ? I'm in Camberley in NW Surrey, you could always pop over to me and trace out the exact dimensions of my suspension covers so that you can try and get some made up. It should be pretty simple really. The radiator panel would be more complicated though, since that would need folding, it's not just flat. There's a chance someone would sell off their covers if they had some and got coilovers (and therefore the covers wouldn't fit any more). Or similarly if they got a strut brace and couldn't use the covers.
  4. Awesome, thanks ! Probably should move this in the Workshop section. Must get mine done ! Is this what I'm finding as a "flare nut spanner" on the Internet, e.g. like this one ?
  5. Great, thanks. So which brake lines were they exactly ? It sounds like we have sets that come with the D-type connectors, like Asi's, which seem like they should be suitable for post-2000 cars. Then there are sets like the ones I got with S-type connectors which should be ok for 1999/2000 cars.
  6. Love the lights ! Car looks lovely. That brake pad though
  7. A few members here might have had direct experience of those sill plates, but from what I've read on here they don't seem to be very reliable (i.e. the lights fail quickly).
  8. The location of the alarm components is shown here.
  9. When you've got them fitted, go along to an MoT centre and get them to check the beam alignment for you. They might just need a bit of adjusting.
  10. According to Thule's website, you need fitting kit 1426. They have the IS220/250 down as "IS Mark II" on their site.
  11. Thanks. ok cool, sounds like the later wheel nuts are a lot better then ! If you get some new ones, then obviously just check they are the right type for those wheels.
  12. ok, do you know what type of connector you had, is it the D-type in the diagrams from earlier postings ? That would seem to be the type of connector for late cars in the parts listings.
  13. Maybe try a breaker's for a bumper from a car with front-end damage ?
  14. Those OEM wheel nuts are pretty rubbish, the pins in the key can easily snap off. If I was you I would swap them for some decent ones, e.g. McGard locking wheel nuts. Which also look somewhat better too. Do you know what those wheels are called ? Which model GS300 are they off ?
  15. Did the brake lines fit ok without swapping the connectors on them Asi ? Is your car pre- or post-2001 ?
  16. Is the wheel nut that looks like it's missing on the pic (the dark-looking hole) a locking wheel nut ? Is it just the OEM wheel nut without the cover on it ? Just wondering if there's something you can do to make it match the others better.
  17. Personally I find that the fog lamps are totally useless in fog anyway. I genuinely don't understand the point of them.
  18. It's something wrong with the wirings/connections somewhere, the permanent live feed isn't connected up properly.
  19. I am very sceptical indeed ! If it's so good, then why aren't all the car manufacturers working on something like this ?
  20. Pretty sure that was a one-off, made by the guy himself for his car. I think the best thing you can do is to make up a template out of carboard or something, get it to the right size and with the right cut-outs etc, then get a local metal fabrication place to knock something up for you.
  21. There's a handy guide on how to post pics here.
  22. There's a useful article on things to look out for here.
