  1. Did it have all those same codes too before you changed the plugs ? Or was it running poorly before, but you only read the codes after changing the plugs ?
  2. May well be a coil pack failure. They tend to fail in pairs too, for some reason.
  3. Where are you looking for these instructions ? I haven't tried this bit myself, but to programme the transponder (i.e. for the immobiliser), the posting here describes the following two methods, neither of which seem to match what you mentioned above :
  4. P1325 is just like P1300/P1305/P1315/P1320, specifically it's "Igniter Circuit Malfunction (no 6)". The codes are indicating misfires on cylinders 1, 3 and 5, and problems with the igniters on cylinders 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. Did it do this before you changed the plugs or only after ?
  5. That unit costs a lot more than 450 Euros doesn't it ?
  6. I did my first bit of soldering for a looooong time today, and just thought I'd share a couple of tips which helped me a lot. Firstly, my newly-purchased soldering iron (an Antex one from Maplin) developed a blackened (i.e. oxidised) coating on the tip soon after starting to use it, which meant that it stopped working - i.e. it was impossible to "tin" the tip and it didn't heat things up properly. What solved that was a tin of tip tinner/cleaner from Maplin. Wiping the tip across that sorted it immediately. Secondly, to give myself a "third hand", when holding the soldering iron in one hand, the solder in another, and wanting to also hold the wire still, I put an elastic band around the handles of a pair of pliers, and used this as a clamp to keep the wire still. Which worked well.
  7. There's a thread here which might help you.
  8. i would forget the one man bit ! phone a friend time :D you will not be able to pump the pedal and work the spanner on the bleed valve at the same time
  9. That doesn't sound right though, unless you have to remove and re-insert the key. The immobiliser should be disabled (i.e. the Security light goes off) when a correctly-programmed key is inserted.
  10. I don't have personal experience of them, but there's a potential Group Buy for Japspeed coilovers going on here.
  11. The PIAA blades seem to be rated highly by folks on here, that's what I was going to get when my blades need changing. Sorry, no idea about the IS250 but I'd be suprised if they were exactly the same size as the IS200.
  12. For that sort of price, surely you'd be better off paying slightly more and getting some coilovers ?
  13. Sorry but what do you mean, do you mean the wiper arms, just the blades, or something else entirely ? Why do you want to do this ?
  14. You also want to get a clutch that's good for daily driving, some of them are more designed for the race track. Though I can't help with specifics on which one is good for which. If your clutch is on its way out, best to get it changed sooner rather than later. Otherwise you can end up with a damaged flywheel too, and hence a bigger repair bill.
  15. If you lift the bonnet and listen while it's running, can you tell where it's coming from, e.g. the engine itself or as you suggest perhaps the water pump or something else in front ?
  16. Looking good ! :D I think that the reason Alam had problems with this originally is that one of the holes in the crash bar was a bit dodgy, and the bolt wouldn't catch properly. Using another hole solved the problem.
  17. An AS200 has the same 6-cylinder engine as the IS200. The RS200 has a 4-cylinder engine. You can also check the manufacturer's info plate which should be on the bulkhead at the back of the engine compartment, that should have some codes on it to say what model it is. This is an AS200 engine (actually, it's my IS200, but it's the same engine) : This is an RS200 engine :
  18. This is a pretty basic question, but I've searched and can't find the answer. What is the standard size of the 18" wheels and the tyres that go on them for the IS200, i.e. the optional factory wheels - e.g. the aero kit 18s or the TTE Chicanes ? The pinned thread talks about various "upgrade" wheels but there are several choices there. Is it 225/40 ? Are they 8" wheels ? Thanks in advance.
