  1. Great stuff, well done ! Isn't the charger kit TUV-approved already ? Since TTE are based in Germany I would have thought that would have been the case ? I'm probably misunderstanding something though.
  2. Nice pics ! What is that car next to your Tezza though ? It looks quite like a Tezza/IS200, but a bit different ?
  3. You're right that their "standard" custom plates aren't the right size. But if you phone up DemonPlates they'll be happy to make you up whatever size of plates you like. The size that I got made for the rear is 510 x 150mm. This is slightly narrower than the gap and slightly shorter, but a fair bit taller than the standard plates. Looks fine to me.
  4. So is it really just a regular shape around the outside like an allen key ? If so that sounds like a pretty poor locking wheel nut (sorry !). Or is it an irregular shape ? How big is it, again like an allen key ?
  5. What sort of diagnostic ? What sort of problem do you have ? If you've got the engine check light on, then you can buy an OBDII code reader off eBay for around £30 or less, which will save you money compared to getting a garage to check for you.
  6. Yeah, don't feel bad, would have been a lot worse if you'd bought one and then found out you'd wasted your money !
  7. Looking great guys, I really must get round to cleaning my engine bay some time !
  8. Is it the end of the ball stud itself (the threaded bit) that's making contact ? If so, then since there's a fair bit of it sticking out, you could simply cut off most of the excess (e.g. using a Dremel if you have one, or a hacksaw if you don't).
  9. The keys aren't the same for all cars, so you'd have to be very lucky to find someone nearby with exactly the same key. Your best bet is to go down to a local tyre place and give them a few quid to take it off. They will be very used to taking locking wheel nuts off where the owner doesn't have the key. If your wheel nuts are the type where the key has pins sticking out of it, then they're rubbish and do break very easy. I recommend getting some better ones, e.g. McGard.
  10. Happy Birthday mate, have a great one ! :D
  11. Yeah, this is an old thread that I tacked onto because I was asking exactly the same question. I think that the references to them being joined (in the very old postings !) are in relation to using the TTE airbox with the supercharger kit, where I think you have to do away with the clutch reservoir to make the airbox fit. I'm still interesting in knowing how much brake fluid is needed though !
  12. Loads of them come up on eBay, I'm sure you'll be able to get one off there for a decent price if you keep an eye out.
  13. I thought that was your car Parthiban, till I figured out it was Keith's ! The silver thing is the ABS/TRC actuator, whose design change from the 2001 update. So does your alignment of nuts/washers etc all look pretty much the same as in that photo ? Might be worth seeing if you can get a pic with the bonnet nearly shut (perhaps propped up with something small near the front ?) to show the obstruction ?
  14. There's some stuff in the online workshop manual which will probably help you. Try this section and also this bit on troubleshooting the power seat operation.
  15. Which bolt is making contact ? The bit of the bolt poking out from behind the nut going towards the middle of the engine bay ? Is this the ball stud that came with the kit ? The only people who have reported any issues seem to have had very early cars. Yours must have the later design of ABS actuator, I think, and so far no-one with one of those has said they had a problem - check Cous3's pics in the Group Buy thread showing how he installed his, does yours look the same ?
  16. One of the folks from the bonnet strut Group Buy found that he had to fit a couple of extra washers as spacers on the bonnet bracket, to move the strut further to the outside of the car, and that fixed it for him.
  17. Yay for the "Search" button ! I was wondering about exactly the same thing and found this thread. Stav, do you remember how much you needed in the end ? Or anyone else who's done this recently ? I bought 1 Litre but it sounds like it's not going to be enough !
  18. I spotted that here it says to change the fuel filter "Except Europe". So I wonder if perhaps our petrol is generally of better quality here in Europe and hence the fuel filter doesn't need changing ?
  19. Sounds like it's den_200's :winky: Lol Stav beat me to it.
  20. This is a very common problem on the IS200 and is due to the way the suspension geometry is setup. The OEM settings often cause premature tyre wear on the inside edge. I don't know where you are in the UK exactly, but a trip to Wheels in Motion in Chesham, Bucks, for a geometry setup (which will cost you £85 plus VAT) will sort the problems out and improve handling too. It will be money very well spent, as lots of LOC members will confirm !
  21. Ah ok, I see. Hmm, sounds slightly unusual to have an S with satnav, I wonder if someone else has looked into how to get this to work with an aftermarket head unit ? Might be best to PM Fargo and ask him, since he knows all about how it works with the built-in amp solution.
  22. Cool, I didn't know there were any yellow IS200s.
