  1. My ticket arrived this morning, yay ! Thanks Johnboy :D
  2. There's a very good guide on it in the Workshop forum, here :)
  3. I think red looks good on Platinum Ice, that's what colour I'm planning to do mine. It's all down to personal preference really.
  4. I've seen these kits on there before, unless it's the same one that just never gets sold. I'm kinda suspicious particularly because of the fact the seller says that "Lexus" is stamped on each kit. I don't recognise the kit as a specific Lexus part, but anyway don't Lexus parts like this actually usually say "Toyota" on them ?
  5. It just pulls straight out of the plastic cage thingy, as far as I remember. Unless it changed on later models, since mine is 1999.
  6. Best bet may well be a breakers, there are several IS200s being broken on eBay, would be worth checking with those guys. Edit - just noticed you said you checked eBay, was that just for the speakers or did you check the breaking IS200s too ?
  7. The diagnostic code chart for that error here does list quite a lot of possible causes, including "compression pressure"
  8. Just having had a look, I see that (unlike many ISPs) Virgin do actually publish details of their traffic shaping, here.
  9. You're right, that's another possibility, the dreaded "traffic shaping" (i.e. restricting certain types of traffic at certain times etc). Might be worth looking around on forums to see which ISPs PS3 owners are finding problems or not with.
  10. Ah ok that explains it ! Thanks.
  11. You're gonna love those ARBs Mr Mole ! :D
  12. They just give the option to make it less stiff if you want to. Some ARBs are adjustable like that (e.g. TTE), some (e.g. C-One, as I've got) aren't.
  13. Why not the KYBs for the front too ?
  14. Ooh err. I think that most people have set them to the stiffest setting, don't know if it's obvious which that is by looking at it ?
  15. I think that the guys were suggesting that you might want to get a compression test anyway Asi, even when the cylinder is firing ok again, just in case it's damaged and the compression is down on that one.
  16. edeath got some KYB shocks put on at WIM, and he reported that WIM said they were the same shocks as the old ones that they took off.
  17. It will be interesting to see if new spark plugs help the bhp figure, it may well do given that the old ones appear to have been the wrong ones (as per your other thread on this).
  18. The spark plugs you had seem to be used on the LS400. I wonder if whoever put them in made a simple error about what type should be used ? I presume this was done before you got the car though, so you wouldn't know who it was. I suspect that the old tip was burnt away and that you haven't got any cylinder/piston/valve damage. As you say though, with new plugs in now, and some new coil packs hopefully you will be in business.
  19. Why would you pour petrol down the drain anyway, rather than put it in your car ?
  20. Gas shocks still have oil in them too, don't they ? So I suspect the OEM shocks were gas shocks too. Though I'm sure someone else knows a lot better than me, so can comment further.
  21. Is that all it says on the plug ? I can't find "G1" as a type of NGK plug. The NGK plugs that are usually used as OEM are IFR6A11. sorry stevie it says ngk 1r and 1fr6t11 Hmm, well, 1FR6T11 is not the same as the OEM NGK 1FR6A11. According to this page, the "T" and the "A" refer to different constructions of the firing end. So it sounds to me like the wrong plugs were in your car, at least in that particular cylinder (where they all the same) ? Maybe having the wrong firing end is connected with the problem on the electrode ?
