  1. You can check the part numbers for both LHD and RHD if you go here. They do seem to have different part numbers, as steve2006 implies.
  2. So you've got it now, big congratulations ! :D Same question as to Stav - everything working ok on the dash, rev counter, fuel gauge etc ? Again as with Stav, can't wait to see it ! :D
  3. Congratulations, glad you got such a great present ! :D
  4. Check out the forums at Detailing World, where as well as a mind-bogglingly large range of different cleaning/detailing products being discussed, you'll also find some very handy guides. Be warned though, you might end up spending a fortune ! Also don't forget the Cleaning/Detailing forum on our own LOC site here. You may want to look into use a clay product, something like Bilt-Hamber Auto-clay soft is especially designed to be easy to use. It's something that you can use occasionally after cleaning, before polishing, to get rid of lots of impurities in the paint and can make things look miles better than just polishing on its own.
  5. Google I also found quite a few people complaining about bad customer service and lack of updates on them.
  6. Looking at this some more, I'm guessing you're referring to a 1992 (ish) SC400/Soarer from NA/Japan. I don't know either car, but if the part that you're looking for is the one shown in each of these two diagrams, then they look different on those to me and have different part numbers. I might be misunderstanding which bit you're after though. LS400 : SC400 :
  7. The SC430 didn't come in until 2001 or so, so I imagine it would be hugely unlikely to share the same display as a much older LS400. Or am I missing something, are you talking about a similar age Soarer ?
  8. Sorry to hear that you've had yet more bad luck with your car Dan :( But if the other person admits liability and is insured, then there's no reason your insurance company should penalise you in anyway, it shouldn't count as a claim for your NCB because you're not claiming off your insurance, just hers, and you shouldn't have to pay any excess.
  9. The Microfuzion doesn't distinguish which side of the road you're on, does it ? So it'll warn you about cameras on the other side of a dual carriageway ?
  10. Yeah that would be a good test. Let us know how you get on.
  11. You shouldn't be able to damage the coil packs through swapping the plugs if that's what you're saying. As for the performance difference, I agree you're not probably going to notice the performance increase, but it should also help fuel consumption very slightly, and that probably will add up to a worthwhile figure over the long run !
  12. Johnboy already said he could sort out a run if you decided on a meeting point to end up, then perhaps he can arrange a start point and off we go ! We probably just need to pick a date and then see who can make that date, then if there are enough it's a goer ! I would say you don't even need a dozen people, of course the more the merrier, but even a handful is enough for a meet ! :D
  13. Sounds great Stav, thanks, can't wait to see it ! :D
  14. Mine is a 1999 model and it's Fujitsu Ten.
  15. Did you go for the big single already Stav, or are you on the twins initially and planning to upgrade ? What's the lag like ? Everything working on the dash, fuel gauge, rev counter etc ?
  16. Sounds like the potential new engine is on the verge of needing a cam belt change, you might want to factor that in, although obviously if it's an engine swap anyway the extra work to change the cam belt will be minimal.
  17. Have a good one, and hope it turns into an even better one if you can pick the car up later ! :D
  18. Personally, and not meaning any disrespect, I don't really understand the logic of going for the longer-life Densos over the higher-performance IK20s. The IK20s are cheaper and are higher performance, why wouldn't you buy those ? ok, they need changing in 30K miles rather than 60K, but they're not exactly a high-cost item or difficult to swap, and 30K miles is quite a long way off anyway surely ?
  19. Looks like some great stuff you're doing there Dimitris. Why are you installing a new fuel pump/filter, was there a probem with the old one ?
  20. ERR3 means that a disc is jammed, as you suspect. Is the CD drive at the top or the bottom ? I believe it's relatively straightforward to take apart the top loaders and free up the discs, and that can often fix it. But with the bottom loaders it's a nightmare (I tried ! ) and you'll probably need a new head unit :(
  21. So are you saying the boot light wasn't working before you tried these LEDs ? If the LEDs don't work either then it does sound like there's something else wrong, e.g. can you see if the wiring looks ok to the cage ? Do you have a multimeter where you can test to see if there's some voltage in the bulb holder ? You could always try the LEDs in the sidelights if you want to double-check them, the sidelights are very easy to get to and take the same bulbs. Again, they'll only work the "right" way round though.
