  1. How about the normal tail lights (not fog lights), I presume they work ok ? When you say the front ones don't work, does the dash light come on when you switch them on ? I wonder if the problem is with the switch on the stalk.
  2. If they are used as fog lights then LEDs are likely to be a *lot* less bright than the bulbs in there at the moment. So be careful, i.e. they probably won't work well as a safety aid. Though how much fog you get in Australia I have no idea but would guess it's less than here in the UK !
  3. £45 ?! That seems very cheap. Was it full geometry or just wheel alignment ?
  4. The part number for the external temp sensor is either 88790-22130 or 88790-22131. I suspect that Lexus/Toyota will tell you that the latter has superseded the former, although the latter one seems to be more than double the price :duh: (approx £47).
  5. Yes the a/c rings are on eBay now, here.
  6. I haven't done it myself (but I need to do it at some point to check out my non-working headlamp washers !) but I don't think it's that hard. It's slightly easier if you have two people just so you've got an extra pair of hands, and to help avoid scratching the bumper as you take it off - make sure you put it down on a surface that's going to be kind to it. No, you certainly don't need to take it to Lexus for that. Having said all that, in the link I posted up about the temperature sensor, it doesn't actually say you need to take the bumper off, so if you jack the front of the car up (or put it on ramps), it may well be that you can get to the sensor from there.
  7. Check out the thread here. I don't think there's a club stand, no - at least, it hasn't been mentioned so far.
  8. Are the regular tail lights working ok ? There's a separate fuse for those but I think it's just one main fuse for the front fogs (although the 120A alternator fuse is involved as well, but I think you'd have a lot more not working if that had failed). Does the fog light indicator light up on the dash ?
  9. On the IS200 the ABS/TRC actuator changed around 2000, I presume it was similar/the same for the RS200, so I would guess it's the later one that you want. Might be worth taking a photo and showing it to a Toyota dealer and they can double-check the part for you. I can't find the right parts diagram at the moment though and it's really bugging me :duh:
  10. ok, you need to look at the listing on the right for the actual part number (e.g. if you were to order one from a dealer), which is 87245-3A500. It doesn't look like it should be that expensive, approx £30 and if you join LOC as a Gold member most dealers will give you a discount off that. Or try a breaker's. Or if it's just a silicon hose then maybe you can just buy a suitable bit of hose and get it made to the right shape ? Sorry I have no idea about doing that, but surely it is possible ?
  11. Umm ok, maybe not on that diagram because I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for. But you could navigate to a parts diagram for any part of the car you like. How about here ?
  12. Have a look here. If that's not quite the right bit, then you should be able to navigate to other pages to show you what you need.
  13. Just found more, these are the ones I got. No idea about quality specifically. But from all the photos I've seen, all the strips look identical, which makes me tend to think they might all be made in the same factory anyway. Mine have been fine so far. One stopped working shortly after fitting, but that was because I initially used scotchlocks, and it was just a bad connection. When I soldered them properly they were fine.
  14. Yep, put me down for this one. I second Wozza's suggestion to start a bit earlier.
  15. I got mine off eBay. The ones with 24 LEDs are the perfect length. This isn't the seller I used, but there's a pair for just 99p plus £3.79 postage here. I did a walkthrough on connecting them up here.
  16. The water pump is the bright(ish) silver thing with fluted bits on it towards the top-left of your last picture.
  17. Every time you start the car ? e.g. if you stop it and start it in the middle of a journey ? Or is it, say, just in the mornings ? Does it do it if you start it in the hotter part of the day ? Hmm, now that's interesting, and does make the external temperature sensor even more worth of investigation.
  18. Just clutching at straws here, but what happens, with the a/c off, and the engine fully warmed up, when you vary the temperature control from the minimum to the maximum ? Do you get really hot air through at the maximum setting, and ambient (outside) air at the minimum setting ? Probably best to test this when it's not hot outside, so you can notice the difference.
  19. Just popped down to the body shop again. They quoted me £80 plus VAT to fit both the front and rear lips, which sounds quite reasonable to me so I'm going to go for that. They also got out their paint charts. Their normal ones weren't quite right for my car (Platinum Ice), but they got out their own one that they'd made up in the past for painting this colour, and in the bright sunshine it was spot on. Will drop the spoilers off to them soon for painting, then a few days later will take my car in for the fitting, can't wait ! :D
  20. I did wonder if it could be the external temperature sensor, but I wouldn't have expected that to totally stop the whole a/c working. The sensor is behind the bumper at the front of the car, and you can test it as detailed here.
