  1. Have you had any work done on the exhaust system recently ? It's a problem with the O2 sensor that fits into the exhaust behind the main cat. See the diagram on the second page here. Could be a problem caused by work in that area, might just be a new sensor that's needed.
  2. Happy Birthday, hope it's a great one ! :D
  3. He says he's got "original HIDs" though, which I take to mean OEM HIDs.
  4. That's the right part number, don't know why they've put "Rooftop" ?
  5. ok, I realise this is just a quote from somewhere else, but it's a bit of an exaggeration to say that this is "one of the most dangerous vulnerabilities present in all versions of Internet Explorer". Also, I understand that you can just disable the extension, you don't have to remove it by editing the Registry.
  6. Exactly. The seller can't just ignore you (i.e the dispute/claim) when it suits him, but then when PayPal decide against him then he wakes up and asks for his item back. So just keep the item, PayPal haven't told you that you have to return it as part of the claim, have they ? If the seller wants it back, then tell him he'll have to pay for shipping, get him to send you pre-paid labels or something (don't just take his word for it that he'll refund you after you've already paid to send it back).
  7. Think that the needle pretty much goes to the bottom of the "E" when it's empty. As Col said, there's about 10 litres left when the light comes on, which is quite a lot.
  8. There's something wrong there, because you still should be able to adjust camber within range with something like an Eibach Pro kit (that's the same springs as the TTE springs, I think). I have TTE springs and my geometry was set by WIM without problem. Maybe you've got damaged suspension, or maybe you've just got an operator who doesn't really know what he's doing ? You might want to join LOC as a Gold member if you want Tony from WIM to help you though, because in effect he's going to be helping your garage to increase their knowledge, as well as helping you, and he's previously said he can only really justify the large amount of time to do this for LOC Gold members. EDIT - you can read Tony's own words on this here.
  9. There might have been all sorts of dubious figures quoted by TDi in the past, but I think it was doing well less than 500 until SPC Horsham got their hands on it.
  10. Superchargers come up from time to time for sale on here, keep your eye out. Engine swap is a possibility, Stav recently had a 1G-GTE swap done, Yeldarb has had a 3S-GTE swap. Both have threads describing them in this forum. SPC Horsham have done a turbo conversion on w481ggc's (Dave's) car, including new cylinder head and new internals. Monster-Mat and gsportcars both have a 2JZ-GTE.
  11. How much ? Opie Oils have 5L of Fuchs fully synthetic 5W30 for just £20, and that's before club discount. I also wouldn't extend my oil change interval just because I was using better oil.
  12. Wow, that's a good price, you were lucky to get away without a customs bill ! You won't be disappointed with them, I'm sure. Remember how your OEM-ARB-equipped IS300 was having trouble keeping up with my C-One-ARB-equipped IS200 on a twisty road the other day ? :winky:
  13. Well I'm sure they'd have GPS or similar, yes, but that would only mean they knew themselves where they were, not that anyone else did. Experts have said that lightning strikes are entirely routine, and don't bring planes down. But some sort of multiple failure was involved. There now appears to be more info on it in a Brazilian newspaper, see here. That begins to make it sounds more like a structural problem perhaps caused by being in a violent storm ?
  14. The body kit is apparently a Charge Speed D1.
  15. For those who don't have the mag, apparently this guy has seen 609 bhp at the rear wheels using 100-octane fuel, and 500 when using 91-octane. Billy Shea is the owner, from California.
  16. how can you tell 'Cos I've got the mag and it has pics of the inside ! :winky:
  17. There is no radar cover over the middle of the Atlantic though, that's the problem. So they lost radar contact with it when it went out of range, which was quite normal, but it never came back into radar contact when it should have done.
  18. Come along to Japshow at the Pod in a few weeks and see it for yourself Dan ! :winky:
  19. I really think you're going to have to start taking things apart to get any further on this. Then you would be able to see if the various servo motors are working properly (I'm still a bit suspicious about the air mix servo motor), and also you'll be able to feel better whether the hot/cold air is coming from. I've just realised that something I said earlier was wrong, the air mix servo motor is something you can look at relatively easily because it only involves removing the glove box. That will also let you get closer to some of the internals of the vents, as I said above so you can get a better idea of at which point the air flow is going wrong. Maybe there will be something simple like you'll see something blocking the ducting internally and causing the problem ?
  20. Using Google, D2R does seem to be the correct bulb type. eBay UK has loads of D2R replacement bulbs, different colour temperatures and different makers (including Osram, not just unknown brands). It's up you what colour temp you want to go for. 4300K will probably be closest to your OEM ones, and the brightest, and the most white in colour. If you go for 6000K then they'll have a very slight blue tinge and will be slightly less bright.
  21. Yeah, if you've paid the membership then you're Gold already, deckie, it's just the icon missing from your profile display, which Steve will sort out for you :winky:
  22. Guys, I'm quite happy to help edeath out here, given that I drilled out a stuck bolt previously from my engine compartment, so I now know it's pretty easy given suitable drill bits (it was impossible using the chocolate-strength drill bits that I started with !). However, do you think it'll be similarly straightforward ? Is it easy enough to remove the pulley so that we can clamp it somewhere and drill it ?
