  1. Do you mean LED "eyebrows" above the headlight ?
  2. Now *that* would have increased raffle ticket sales somewhat !
  3. *switches to another window to order t-shirt* :D
  4. I hate this forum, it keeps making me want to buy more stuff ! Just kidding, I love learning all these sort of things really, even if does end up costing me money !
  5. Excuse my ignorance but doesn't "blueprint" just mean they're copies ? So one blueprint set could be totally different from another ? Or have I misunderstood ? :duh:
  6. I also had problems with the signage. Before setting out I checked the website, and assumed what was on there was true, i.e. signs from Colchester. So when I got to Colchester and couldn't see any signs to Mersea, let alone any signs to JAE, I struggled a bit. But I found it in the end. If they'd have updated the website to say there wouldn't be any signage (until you were on the island) I'd have taken better directions with me (and no, I don't have a sat-nav). I agree about the LOC show plates, would be nice to have had some for everyone, and I'd happily pay for my own too. A parts re-sale tent is a great idea although I wonder if the organisers would then have a problem with that as "trading" (requiring money etc). Should we have club t-shirts or similar to help promote the club's identity ? Or has that been tried before and people didn't really like it (e.g. too much of a "uniform" ? I can understand the organisers having to change the layout at the last minute, but surely they could also have photocopied the new layout plans at the last minute too ? Was a bit frustrating not knowing where any particular other clubs were. The It's a Knockout stuff was brilliant, it was my first JAE and overall it was very enjoyable and I'd definitely go again (possibly staying over next time).
  7. I might be interested but have no idea what sort of cost we might be talking about here.
  8. Isn't it the original 1G-FE on the ground ? I thought that Ellz said he still needed to pick up the new engine ?
  9. Only if you buy the in the wrong colour, the Sport grille comes in various colours so you should hopefully be able to get one to match the car.
  10. Really ? What does resetting the ECU do in this case ? Does the ECU then "learn" that the amount of air coming through the filter is different and adjust the mixture or something ? I'm intrigued. Does the K&N filter just slot in place of the OEM filter ? Or is there more to it ?
  11. I love these threads where you get to follow the progress of a project via photos, great stuff ! :D
  12. What was the name of the file ? Should end in .jpg or .jpeg
  13. It's incredible the difference it makes, isn't it ? :D By the way, I'm picking up some fan washer jets tomorrow ! :D
  14. Sorry to seem pedantic, but that's not the only way to reduce file size, you can also keep the pixel size but reduce quality of a Jpeg by increasing compression, which should reduce file size. Reducing the resolution (pixel size) is probably the easiest way though.
  15. Which option are you using on the Avatar page ? If you use the "Enter a URL to an online avatar image" and put in the URL from the "Direct Link" box on Photobucket, then that worked fine for me. My image size on Photobucket was 800x600 and I'd be amazed if that wasn't bigger than 20KB.
  16. You're welcome. Yes, my avatar pic is from JAE, I was there on Saturday. Your friend's car is the one next to mine ? If I'm understanding you correctly, then mine was only washed, not detailed, so no need to apologise, if you looked closely at it you'd have spotted all the flaws ! :D I am planning to clay mine, fix up a few small scratches and so forth. As for your pics, there's a thread here which has pre-JAE discussions in and now post-JAE chat and pics too, so I'd link your pics in there if I were you :winky: Yep, the LOC is a fantastic resource, I've had loads of help so far and everyone's really friendly :D
  17. The LOC forum will automatically shrink your avatar to fit, even if it's bigger than allowed, as long as you're hosting it somewhere else, e.g. Photobucket. Yes it is possible to reduce the size of photos after they've been taken. You need to do this in an image editor on the PC. For example, I use Adobe Photoshop Elements. You will also find various free photo editors that you can download from the Internet. Actually if you use Photobucket to host photos, there's actually an online editor there, just click the "edit" link above your photo, and choose the "Resize" option in the editor.
  18. Yep, the tax on IS200s registered from 1st March 2001 (not 2002) will be up to £400 soon It'll probably mean older cars are more popular and will probably hit prices of newer cars. There's a guide with a few things to look for here. One major thing that I think is missing from that is to make sure you get a "master" key with the car, i.e. a key which when you insert it into the ignition, the "Security" light immediately turns off and doesn't turn on briefly (without a master key you're looking at an extremely expensive option if you want to programme more keys to the car). This is a good place to learn loads about the IS200, I know I've learned tons in the short time I've been here. Welcome :)
  19. Another potentially stupid question. What are the definitions of "Modified" and "Standard" ? I had initially thought that "Standard" meant "without any mods", but I guess that can't be right because there probably wouldn't be any cars that fulfilled that requirement ! Does "Modified" mean "with supercharger" ?
  20. Aha, thanks, nice one :) I never introduced myself to you but I did see you wandering around taking loads of pics ! :D
  21. Use the "Direct Link" from Photobucket when you copy and paste the URL. If you try to use the "Email & IM" link (at the top under your photos in PB, above "Direct Link") then it won't work.
