The beam height of mine was fine when I installed the HIDs. If you can park a few metres away from a wall and mark where the beam height is for the old lights, then you can compare when you get the new lights in. They'll be so bright you'll be able to pretty easily see where they're shining anyway, when you test them in the dark :)

I've just bought in, so I'm not planning on selling up any time soon ! Although people are bound to move on from time to time, hopefully there are at least as many newcomers (like me) coming on board :D

If it would help, I'm happy to organise getting some more made for anyone who is interested, to possibly save Steve the trouble, subject to getting hold of a suitable copy of the logo (e.g. by starting a Group Buy thread on it). Although I don't want to tread on anyone's toes either :winky: I have spoken to Steve about this, and I am going to look into the costs of getting some more LOC show plates made up for whoever wants them. Look out for a Group Buy thread in due course :)

Be careful about headlights that are designed for US cars, and therefore will point the wrong way and fail the MoT.

You can get less than 6000K too, e.g. 4500K will be even brighter than 6000K (and even whiter). I think that 6000K is a good compromise between being bright, and looking cool :)

You should be safe with 6000K. With 8000K you're taking more a risk of MoT failure or the police pulling you - you might get away with it, you might not. I've got 6000K :)

When you put the key into the ignition, does the security light immediately turn off ? Or does it come on/stay on briefly before going off ?

Yep, you'll find plenty of people on eBay who sell things (not just Lexus/car stuff) for more than you can buy them from the original source !

I realise you wanted an "official" answer Dan (i.e. not from me !) but I think that places like Demon Plates can make plates based up on any sort of graphic you like, so it would just be a matter of getting hold of the LOC logo at an appropriate resolution (i.e. so it doesn't come out all pixellated when printed at large size on a number plate !) It would obviously make more sense to do this centrally though rather than several of us all get these made up individually.

Not sure about this since it's my first time looking at the TDI website, but if I'm not mistaken they've got some new blog updates with info about the Katana exhaust manifold, Katana intercooler and their Rotrex supercharger project (including mention of what went wrong at an open day with LOC) It looks like it's got today's date on it, but it doesn't have a year, so in theory I guess this could be from last year ! If this is old news I've stumbled across then I apologise for my newbie-ness Blog here

By the way, they're currently about 45 UK pounds, they seem to have gone up in price (possibly due to running low on them ?)

I'll tell you if you send me some of Mrs Mole's cakes Just kidding, what Saraj said, just go into the quoted section and delete any bits you don't want. If you're feeling braver, you can even split up the original quote into several sections, say, if you want to reply to individual bits of it, and that will involve adding new "quote" tags. You'll see the square brackets and the word "quote" at the start of the quoted section, and then the same with a slash symbol at the end of the quoted section.
