  1. ok, I cracked it. The part number is 42603-53090. These are the ones with a dark grey background. My dealer got in another set with a different part number which had a sort of dark-bluish background.
  2. You made your own plastic lenses ? Wow, how on earth did you do that ? Keep at it, I'm sure you'll get there !
  3. Answering myself here From what Mr Morse said here (Group Buy thread linked above) ... ... it does indeed sound like he got them specially made.
  4. LEDs or the lenses ? I was imagining that the LEDs are easy to come by, but the opposite for the lenses. Anyone know where Mr Morse got the lenses from ? Did he get them made specially ?
  5. There was a Group Buy on this a while back, here, but I have no idea as to the source of the lenses (the LEDs should be easy to get from eBay). I would be suprised if there was any sort of legal requirement about these door marker colours, but wait to be educated ...
  6. Wow, didn't realise it was that straightforward (would probably take me a lot longer though ! ) Will add that to my list of possible things to do ... *runs off cackling manically*
  7. "Blast" as in a rocket taking off ? Quite a good analogy, I think ! :D
  8. Thanks. I thought you might like those, for some funny reason :winky: Yeah, we'll let you off since you so kindly gave us a ride. I think I've just about recovered from it now :duh:
  9. Some of them have threads showing their work there (check out the "Studio" and "Showroom" forums here and here), and the results can be absolutely amazing. If you really want someone to come and get rid of all your swirl marks etc then it certainly can be done.
  10. It's explained in the online manual here Click on Repair Manual, then Body Electrical, then Headlight and Taillight System, then Adjustment. There are two pages, and it shows that there is a screw for vertical adjustment and one for horizontal adjustment.
  11. Here be some pics : Wozza's intercooler lighting The engine of the beast ! Wozza's ICE Couldn't get into the Ace Cafe so here we are just down the road from it !
  12. You might want to check out some of the detailers who advertise over on Detailing World There are some guys there who will get your car looking better than new, but you get what you pay for, so that's going to be pretty pricey.
  13. Would there be any point though ? The current key fob batteries last for a pretty long time, and rechargeable batteries eventually stop working too.
  14. I get a subscription copy of Car, so I will certainly post as soon as I see it in the mag.
  15. I think they're for stone chip protection. I've never seen them in this country, only in the US. Think they look personally.
  16. I think it's called Ecsaine (that's a brand name, just like Alcantara is a brand name). It's a type of artificial sude. Check out their website here
  17. Which light, not the engine check light ?
  18. Thanks for the suggestion of the meet and putting out the invite. It was fun to meet up, and of course excellent to see (and ride in !) the charged IS300 ! Great to see it wasn't all ISs too, with the LS there. The drive home was a real pain, it seemed it was the night to close most of the slip roads heading in my direction so kept having to go the wrong way for a while and then turn around :tsktsk: Great that we made it a "proper" meet by helping out Dan with his HIDs ! How were they on the drive home Dan, notice a bit of a difference ? :D I will post up pics later today.
  19. Now that I've had a chance to recover from the experience , big thanks to Rup for the ride, and congratulations on what you've got there, awesome ! :D
  20. Well, some of us had a ride in the beast tonight. I'm lost for words ... :D
  21. There are a lot of cosmetic mods you could do, but that's very much down to personal preference. For example, the Lexus sport grille is very easy to fit (even I could do it !) and still available from Lexus dealers. Have a look through the gallery at what people here have done to their cars.
