  1. Sorry to hear about this Dan. Lucky you got a witness, otherwise he might have claimed you drove into him and it was your fault ! Hope you get it sorted out quickly and easily.
  2. For the first time I kept a record of my mileage and how much fuel went in. I just did 424 miles on a tank (fuel light on, but still some left), and I it out at 31.3 mpg. I changed to a K&N air filter (and reset ECU) part-way through that tank, don't know if that helped or not but I'm well chuffed, thought I'd be getting less than that !
  3. What exactly did your computer do, you say it "went nuts", but at what stage in Photobucket was that, and what did the computer do ? The instructions about the "IMG" code only work once you've got your photos uploaded onto a website, it won't work with your photos being only on your computer. There are loads of photo hosting websites, but Photobucket should work ok.
  4. Yeah, sounds like you need to clay it. That will take off the rough feeling that you've noticed.
  5. You could also use a clay bar, which should do the job. e.g the Bilt-Hamber clay doesn't need a special lubricant (just water), unlike most other clays.
  6. Does the GS300 Mk1 have the same issues with keys as the IS200 ? On the IS200 if you have no "master" key then you can face a pretty hefty bill (new ECU !) if you want to programme in any new keys. On the IS200, as long as you do have a "master" you can easily programme new keys in yourself once you get a fob and get the key cut, but a dealer will charge you a lot to do that. No idea if this is the same issue for the GS.
  7. Why don't you get the WIM settings from Tony and ask the dealer to use those settings ? They shouldn't have a problem because, as I understand it, they're still within the original factory limits. I think that the settings are also on the site here somewhere.
  8. Really, that's all it is you think ? Cool, thanks :)
  9. I had trouble finding it myself a while back too. I think it's gone missing from the main LOC page, but I found it on the TOC page. Club store
  10. It sounds interesting. I haven't been in LOC very long, but in the HID discussions that I've seen before (including ones I found on a search when researching my purchase of HIDs) I've not seen anyone mention that these sort of units are available in RHD configuration. Would be interesting to find out though. Isn't there also an issue of them needing different fittings into the front of the car too, i.e. they won't fit anyway ? Is it really as simple as "trim the brackets to fit", as in the original posting ?
  11. I haven't been here that long, so know a lot less than many around here, but popular sites that come up a lot are ProLex and TDI (those are links to their IS200 sections). Of course Lexus dealers can provide some bits of kit too.
  12. How did you get on? These seem too white to match my 8000k HIDs Those ones were fine colour-wise with my 6000K HIDs. I also got some inverted white LEDs as an alternative, and they're fine too. I would wonder if they'd be too white for 8000K HIDs, as you say. I can't tell for sure since I don't have 8000K HIDs. If you like I could post you one (a white inverted LED) to try out, if you want to PM me your address.
  13. ok, strange noises are one of those things that come up from time to time, so it's my turn now it seems. I'm noticing a creak from the front of the car (I think ?) when I go over speed bumps. If it's a small bump it doesn't matter if I go over it with just the left wheel or just the right wheel, I still get a small creak. Haven't noticed this noise any other time. I've tried "bouncing" the front of the car on each side a bit but don't hear anything then. Any ideas on narrowing this down ?
  14. That's great news :D So is he sending you the correct manifold, or are you on the lookout for another one now ? (by the way, I'm not offering to sell you one lol, just wondering !)
  15. Think it was this thread. Note post 21 with some additional info !
  16. On Autotrader? I can't find anything like that. When I bought my 54 Sport in July it was the cheapest on there at £7995. Wasn't that (the "£5,000" car) the one where the posting was a little bit misleading and the poster implied he'd paid just that, but actually he'd traded in another car too, so that was the extra he had to pay to change, not the price of what he'd bought ?
  17. PM Steve (moderator/admin) and he'll sort out your Gold badge for the regular forums. I don't think it happens automatically (I had to do the same).
  18. dont need to cos there within the original lexus tolerences Indeed. No need to tell them because they're still within the factory recommendations, as I understand it.
  19. I guess it depends what you're comparing it too, but I think my IS200 handles extremely well. It made a big difference having the chassis geometry properly setup at WIM (Wheels In Motion) - has your car been WIM'd yet ?
  20. I wonder if there are any other LOC members in Ireland who also have an IS200 with Sat Nav who you might be able to meet up with, to try out their disc to see if your system does actually work ? It's a long shot but you never know ...
  21. Brilliant news that you've got her back ! :D
