  1. Can you take a pic of what they look like on your car ? I'm not too bothered about the brightness since I don't use my fogs normally anyway.
  2. ok, have you tried places like CheapToyotaParts ? Anyone know if the sensors from US IS300s is the same ? In which case it might be possible to source one from the US.
  3. ok, new thread (group buy section) is now up for these ! This is just to get a rough idea of numbers at this stage, e.g. if only a handful of people want them then it's highly doubtful it would be worth making them. The more that are interested, hopefully the greater the chance we can get some made, and the cheaper they will be.
  4. Lol. ok, I'll start gauging interest on a separate thread so we can see roughly how many people are interested.
  5. Sorry if this is a silly suggestion, but have you tried a Lexus dealer ? Is their price out of the question ?
  6. Yep, if we get a Group Buy going we can at least see roughly how many people are interested, even if we don't have a price yet.
  7. Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Sure there would be a cost to make the tooling, but these are highly sought-after so I'd be pretty suprised if we could get enough buyers together to make it worthwhile. ok, who has contacts at engineering firms ? Or who has one nearby that they could go and ask about it ? We need to find out the costs and then we can work out how many people we'd need at roughly how much, then can see if it would be a goer.
  8. Send a PM to user Steve and he'll sort you out :winky: Edit - posted at same time as Janey
  9. That cover on the standard grille is just there to help the aerodynamics slightly, and therefore the fuel economy.
  10. It would be interesting to find out who made them originally (someone in the US ?) since you would think they'd still have the tooling available ?
  11. But your signature makes it sound like you might have a different dash that needs different dials. Look at the rev counter dial, what warning lights do you have on it, are they the battery warning light (left) and bulb failure light (right) or something different ?
  12. Wozza's dials (with the auto selector lights) look like this :
  13. Did they give you a rough idea of the tooling cost ? If there are enough people who are willing to pay enough money, then it might still be viable.
  14. Oh :tsktsk: , gutted for you mate. Hope the police catch the :tsktsk: s who did it. Did you not have locking wheel nuts, or did they manage to get them off ? If the latter, then what type did you have ?
  15. I can't believe they would be too difficult to make, although there might be a bit of trial and error to make sure they fit just right. I'm sure that if there was another group buy, there would be a lot of interest !
  16. Come on down and then you *will* know lots of people ! :D
  17. There's a handy guide here :winky:
  18. Fuel economy isn't the car's strong point, as has been said, but it depends on how you drive. I typically get about 31mpg out of mine, but that tends to be a mixture of short and longer drives. It's a buyers market at the moment, so decide what sort of spec you want, take a look at a few and drive some so you get an idea of how they feel, and wait till you find that feels really right. The cam belt change interval says 100K miles/10 years in the service book, but Lexus changed that to 60K miles/6 years, so make sure that's been done depending on the mileage. Also, make sure you get more than one key with the car, and at least one "master" key (which can be identified by the fact that when you put the key into the ignition, the flashing Security light on the dashboard extinguishes immediately, as opposed to coming on for a second when you insert it). Without master keys you can't programme any more keys for the car (e.g. if you lose your keys) without a *very* big bill.
  19. Nice ! :D Although they're only for pre-May 2000 cars after which a couple of the warning lights got switched around. Have a look at the designs here.
  20. Sounds like you're turning off the alarm with the second press then. You should only need to press it once, like for mine (1999). Try locking it with one of the windows down, wait for the alarm to arm (30 secs I think ?) and then stick your hand through the window to set the alarm off. That should confirm to you whether the motion sensor is on or not.
  21. Pretty sure it is either four or five you can have, it's just three is (I think ?) what the car would have come with originally.
