  1. Thanks guys. Rob, your posting on this is still in the workshop section, but the link to the pics etc is broken. I looked pretty hard for it in the online manual but couldn't find it. I've had this problem before, often the removal instructions don't seem to be in the logical place (e.g. they're not in the front bumper section), they're somewhere else where the item needs removing. I seem to remember from JAE that this looked like a two-person job.
  2. I think that my headlamp washer problem has got to the stage where I need to remove the front bumper and try and see if I can see what's going on with the pipes etc. I've looked in the online workshop manual and can't find any instructions there on how to do it. Similarly I can't find anything in the Workshop section of the forums, or the knowledge base. Can someone please help me out with some instructions for this, or point me to somewhere that there are some instructions (e.g. if I missed it in the online manual) ?
  3. CAT6+ makes it sound like an Ethernet (local area networking) cable. Sounds like quite a decent quality one if it's CAT6+ (relates to the speeds possible over the cable, length etc).
  4. Question for the members here who have the rings already. How do they fix on ? If they already work well then it would make sense to me to try and copy that method. Do they have ridges all the way round the inside to grip the OEM plastic rings ? Or just a few ridges ? Or are they smooth but fit very tight over the existing rings ? I see that there's a hole to let the "pointer" light shine through (so you can see what you've selected in the dark), is there anything else to consider, do you think ? Did you have any luck on this ? If so, please could you post in the Group Buy thread on it ?
  5. No. Can I do that by pulling the washer up from the top of the bumper, or front underneath, or do I need to take the bumper off for that ?
  6. There's a guide to removing the headlight here , part of a comprehensive online workshop manual. Was it only your headlight that got damaged ? Or were other bits repaired but not the headlight ? It could be that the mountings for the headlight are themselves damaged.
  7. ok, answering my own question here, but I found the relevant diagram in the online workshop manual, and indeed the pipes do appear to feed from there.
  8. So, only one day to go now. You must be getting very excited Mr Mole !
  9. Any thoughts on what you're going to do next Adie ?
  10. I don't really get that either ? Is it because a warped hub could lead to a warped disc, and skimmng the disc could temporarily fix the problem although the disc would end up getting warped again ? Or is it just bs ?
  11. Am I right to assume that the pipes for the headlamp washers start on the right (looking from in front of the car), by the washer fluid tank, and so feed to the passenger side washer first and then go on to the driver's side washer ? Because neither are working so if there's a problem in the pipes I'm guessing it's near to the washer tank.
  12. I find that my fog lights don't really do anything in the fog. What do you do, do you turn off your dipped beams and just drive on sidelights and the fogs ? Otherwise I can't see the point, potentially your dipped beams still reflect off the fog, the fog lights don't really add anything. Genuine question, by the way, I have never really understood how front fog lights are any benefit in the fog.
  13. Does the Altezza not have the security light then (pardon my ignorance) ? Are all the warning lights etc that are within the stainless dials, on your car, in the same positions on your car as in the photos on this thread ?
