  1. Look forward to some in-focus pics lol, but from what I can make out they do look great ! :D
  2. Yay, you know how to post pics now ! :D So have you got a Unichip as your piggy-back ECU ?
  3. Hope Mr Mole doesn't mind me doing this, but the album of photos is here Looks like some nice dials in there ! :D Looks like an early start took a toll on some :
  4. Mr Mole looks a bit less happy than I'd have imagined in the photo. Perhaps it was the frustration of not being able to get the charger on the road at that moment ? I look forward to seeing a much happier face once there are driveable conditions !
  5. Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly, but locking wheel nuts and their corresponding key usually are unique. That's not to say that if someone's really determined, they'll find a way to get them off. But that's the same with any theft prevention measure for just about any item. The fact that they're their is usually enough to put off all but the very most determined.
  6. Don't waste your money. See this thread for a previous discussion on these.
  7. It looks like one of admins over there is at dnolan@google.com, try emailing him ?
  8. As has been said earlier, the "Sport" model has exactly the same engine and so forth as the other models, so it isn't any faster. Most of the differences are cosmetic, the only real "sport" bit of equipment (IMHO) is a limited-slip diff.
  9. Make sure that you get more than one key with whatever car you end up buying, and make sure that at least one of them is a "master" key. A master key usually has three buttons on it (lock/unlock/boot), but the sure way to tell is to carefully watch the flashing security light on the dash when you insert the key into the ignition. If the light goes off immediately when the key is inserted, then it's a master key. If it stays on for a second and then goes off, then it's not a master key. Without a master key you won't be able to programme new keys for the car, and so if you lose your keys you will be facing a rather large bill (e.g. a new ECU) to get any new keys.
  10. Merseyside07 - just take one for a test drive. I'm sure you can easily find one, see how it drives and whether it's the sort of thing that you're after.
  11. Whether you class it as "slow" depends on what you're comparing it too really. I wouldn't call a standard IS200 "fast", but I certainly wouldn't call it "sluggish" either. I agree that the looks of the IS200 are amazing, it's very nice inside, lots of extras, handles well, is very smooth and is easy to look after. The engine seems more to have been designed to be a smooth cruiser rather than being a rocket ship. You may find a few supercharged cars second-hand, but you need to check if they've been looked after properly (e.g. there is a very nice supercharged car on sale from a club member at the moment !). Lexus used to sell a supercharger kit but it was very expensive. They come up from time to time second-hand for around £2k, and are very easy to fit (the kit was designed as an easy add-on).
  12. So what's happening ? Where are the minute-by-minute updates and photos ? Lol just kidding, hope all is going well and the weather stays ok for the work !
  13. So they should be there in just over an hour then ?
  14. Did this just suddenly start happening ? The car was fine one minute and then it suddenly it started doing this ? Or did it happen after, say, filling with petrol, or having some work done on your car, or anything else you can think of ? Or the car not having been driven for a while ? It changes gears fine when going below 30 ? I'm asking mainly to try to get more information, I won't be able to help you myself, but there are lots of knowledgeable people on here who probably will have some ideas.
  15. ok, yep, gotcha, thanks. If I disconnect the tubes then if water comes pouring out at least I'll know the tubes aren't blocked. But as you say it might be interesting to try and operate it with the bumper partially off but the tubes still in place.
  16. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit stupid, but how do you mean to rest the bumper on ? Can I perhaps just disconnect one side of the bumper and not the other and still get to the tubes ? Regarding the fuses, no actually I haven't, but when I press the button I can hear the motor going, so I don't think it's an electrical problem - see my main thread on this.
  17. Yeah I'm excited too and I'm not even there lol. Hope everyone got up there (or is getting up there) safely (and back). Can't wait to see the pics ! Mr Mole you must feel like Christmas has come early this year ! :D
  18. Thanks. Yeah I thought of putting something underneath to try and protect the bumper. I need to keep the water in the tank because I want to try and figure out what's going on. I'm actually half expecting no water to come out when I remove the washers (do I just pull the tubes out of the washer heads ?) because of the problem I've got there. I presume I need to jack the front of the car up in order to make things easier to get to ?
