  1. Think the Tezz will have less toys in the interior won't it, compared to the Lex (e.g. cloth seats) ? Not sure though.
  2. I got some of those LEDs that Trudi posted up too, and put them in yesterday. They're very slightly brighter than the inverted LEDs that I had in before, but not a lot in it.
  3. How about some official LOC support for the grievances against TDi here ? Especially since they used to be a LOC trader ? I'm not suggesting/expecting the club to get involved in any way in any legal proceedings etc, but surely the club itself (not just some of its members) could show some sort of public support for the affected members ? If it was just one case then perhaps it could be imagined to be a one-off, but the number of people with cars that seem to have emerged from TDi messed-up just beggars belief. I would hope that the club might be in some sort of position to try to persuade TDi to do the right thing here. Or failing that, at least show the victims that LOC is giving them their moral support.
  4. Nah, my bottles of both AG Fast Glass and AG Car Glass Polish don't have anything like that. Either are fine on heated rear windows. CGP shouldn't be used on film-tinted windows, but Fast Glass is fine on them.
  5. I'd certainly be suprised if he dared to show his face (as it were) on here again.
  6. The ISO9001 stuff is pretty meaningless. All it means, as has been said, is they've got documented procedures, not that those procedures are any good ! If a company's procedures were, let's say for arguments sake (1) fit lots of expensive bits on car in a shoddy fashion, (2) charge customer a load of money and tell them a load of bull about warning signs etc, then as long as those procedures were carefully carried out each time it's fine under the ISO9001 quality standards !
  7. So when they say in their blog : - then that's not entirely accurate ? If I were you Dave, I'd save a copy of that blog for use as possible evidence before they remove it !
  8. TDi's blog (here) still says : Sounds like they failed dismally ! Also :
  9. Yeah, go for it, I think it has the potential to look absolutely amazing ! :D
  10. Dave, how does it feel when you go through the changeover of supercharger speeds between (if I'm reading the graph correctly) 3400-4000 rpm ? Looks like the power dips then.
  11. I think that mine were roughly £40 from Halfords. You might be able to get them slightly cheaper if you shop around.
  12. Regarding my own problem of the washers not working, I think I'll wait until I can get someone to help me with an additional pair of hands, it's not exactly an urgent issue.
  13. Those output figures are incredible ! Great news that you've got this sorted Dave, and interesting that this seems to have been another TDi screw-up
  14. Check that you have properly tightened the HID bulb in the headlamp, it might not quite be sealed properly and letting moisture in.
  15. Try this, this is for 2001 cars onwards, so I presume includes the bigger screen - wiring diagram
  16. That won't work with the McGard SL high-security nuts though, they have a rotating collar which won't let another nut get a grip on it. I'm starting to sound like a McGard salesman now though ! Yemgi, any news, have you managed to get your car back on the road with some other wheels, and did you manage to find out if there was any other damage to your car ?
  17. I think the IS200 has a MAP sensor rather than a MAF sensor and it's usually best left alone ? I'm sure others will be able to comment in a more knowledgeable fashion than me though.
  18. The load on a transmission in "normal" use is surely somewhat different from the corresponding load using a launch control system though ?
  19. I read somewhere that Ford at one stage used only something like 9 out of many possible combinations of the keys available to them. So that's more of a problem with the manufacturer's ordering processes than the uniqueness of the keys. I recommend something like the McGard nuts, they're very high quality, and if you're buying in the aftermarket then there's no way anyone else will have the same key as you. Regarding the options for the shapes, have a look at what the McGard ones look like below - I well imagine that the possibilities really are infinite in terms of the shapes and sizes of the pieces of that groove.
