  1. Good luck Tony, I know you'll do a great job ! :D
  2. Denso or NGK are OEM spark plugs, so I would stick with those. The OEM spark plugs are long-life ones, but I've got the Denso IK20s, which have a shorter life but are supposed to have slightly better performance.
  3. Just wanted to add some general feedback in my old thread on this, now that my C-One ARBs are fitted, and I've had a chance to have a few drives. Wow, am I glad I chose to upgrade my ARBs ?! What an amazing difference going round corners ! To sum up, there is no difference when driving in a straight line, over bumps etc, the ride is the same. However round corners the car is *much* flatter and *so* much more fun ! Perhaps it's only when the car stops leaning when going round corners that makes you notice how much it used to lean beforehand ?! Definitely my best mod so far, by an absolute mile ! :D
  4. This would be a civil case, and as such the onus would be on the claimant (i.e. the parking enforcement company) to prove their case. For example, they even have to prove who the driver was (do they have video/photographic evidence ?). The less information you give them, the less chance they have of proving their case. I am not suggesting lying, far from it, just not giving them any information whatsoever (especially not making an offer to them).
  5. The Prolex one does seem to be well routed, not going over the exhaust manifold or the top of the engine.
  6. Just to complete this old thread, as it were - the noise seems to have disappeared with the fitment of new anti-roll bars, bushes, brackets and drop links today. I suspect that either the bushes or the drop links were the cause of the noise.
  7. List price of the front ones is £49.06 + VAT (each). The rears are £37.08 + VAT (each). LOC Gold members should be able to get a discount off this from most dealers. They don't come with new nuts, so you have to either re-use the old ones (which could be tricky if you can't get them off) or get new ones. ToyotaGT had a rummage in their boxes of bits and found me some that they could use.
  8. Yep, all four. The front two had to be replaced since they had to be cut off to detach the OEM ARB. The rear ones were replaced since I'd done the front ones anyway and were likely to be worn (and therefore not get the most out of the ARB, and to end up failing at some point in the not-too-distant future).
  9. Thanks. Yours is an IS300 though, and so must be newer (2001 on ?) than my car which is a 1999 model.
  10. There's no allen key socket on the bottom bit though, that's on the top.
  11. Wow ! That was using snow mode, as per your picture, right ?
  12. I've had C-One ARBs fitted to my car today (by ToyotaGT), and they're fantastic ! However, a word of warning. Depending on the age of your car, you may well need to fit new ARB drop links at the same time. The drop links seem to be well-known for rusting up so that they cannot be removed without cutting them off (and therefore destroying them). There's an allen key bolt which commonly ends up just rotating rather than being able to being removed. Also, on the front drop link, the bottom connector is rather oddly (badly ?) designed, in that to remove it, you have to undo a nut, but then the whole bottom assembly rotates without any non-round piece to be able to get a grip on to stop it rotating. Fortunately me for me, but unfortunately for him, edeath had already hit this problem and had to abort his installation. But very kindly he warned me, so I was able to go along with a new set of drop links just in case they were required. In the end, a new front set was required. With some difficulty, the existing rear drop links were removed, but since they were likely to be quite worn, I had them replaced anyway. The list price of four new drop links from Lexus is £198.12 (fronts more expensive than rears)
  13. Had my C-One ARBs fitted today, along with new drop links. Wow, they're amazing ! The car is much flatter around corners, so much so that I need to get used to it, it is so different from before. Another great thing about the C-One ARBs is that they come with new brackets for the front, which are much thicker and are braced, compared to the flimsy-looking OEM brackets which are just an "open" piece of steel. One factor to bear in mind, depending on the age of your car, is that you may well need new drop links too. They are very prone to rusting up and being difficult/impossible to remove without cutting them off. As well as the fact that they may be worn as well, so your existing drop links might not get the best out of new ARBs.
  14. Sure enough, the noise from my front suspension has disappeared, now that I've had new ARBs (C-One) fitted, complete with new bushes and new drop links. So I don't know if it was the bushes or drop links, but suspect one of those two.
  15. 6000K will be brighter (whiter) than 8000K too.
  16. Picture here. Don't know about the price.
  17. I don't have any personal experience with these, but if the Pipercross one actually heats up the induction air, because of its positioning, then it'll probably reduce bhp rather than increase it. Seems like the Prolex one would be better.
  18. It's a 2JZ-GTE engine according to Mat's profile.
  19. Yeah, if he does that I'm sure it'll end up being him that looks stupid. You've bent over backwards to be reasonable to this guy Tony, and he's just taken advantage of you.
